My Crazy Chanel lady just called me
to tell me that NO Macys got the Affinite cream blush. Wonder whats up with that.
I called that Macys this morning to see if they had it & another Chanel lady told me yes that got them all. So I asked her to go look to see for sure that they actually got Affinite...after a long time she comes back to tell me no they didnt. If I hadn't asked her to check, I would have driven over an hour for nothin

Saw this collection in person today. Even though I'm not buying most of it, I think it's really good from my swatching. Esprit is gorgeous and I was amazed by how pigmented it is. It's like a Rouge Allure. Don't know if I'll get it, though because while I like the Shines, they are not my favorite. Thinking about it, though. The quad was unremarkable to me and I quickly moved on. The individual shadows are appealing in their colors, but I know I might not find use for them. Plus, I like to buy Chanel quads, not individual shadows. The eyeliner is gorgeous. Contemplating that. It reminded me of the Mac liner Rosemary and Thyme, which I love. I have to find out how close they actually are before I buy the Chanel liner. The Khaki mascara! Finally got to see it. I passed because swatching it, it didn't seem like it would be pigmented enough to make a difference on my black lashes. Perhaps those with lighter lashes will have luck. The two Rouge Coco's are nice shades, but I wasn't compelled to buy. The coral was a little too pink for my liking and actually, so was the nude color. I was hoping for a more golden nude. Destiny blush still intrigues me. It looks like it will show up on my skin as a great everyday type of color. It reminds me of Blunt blush by Mac, which I love, but perhaps not as cool. I will definitely decide on that this week. So, what's up in the air is Destiny blush, Esprit shine and the eyeliner. I wore Fantastic today. I always apply liquids/creams on top of each other and then set with powder. So, after the foundation I applied Fantastic and then set with my Laura Mercier powder. I find that the Sephora Pro Angled Brush leaves ZERO hairs in the blush. It's incredible unlike the Mac 187 Duo Fribre brush which loves to taint cream products. It was so easy to apply and most importantly blend! Setting it with powder sealed it and brought down the intensity just a little bit since I was wearing a bold lip. i just love this cream blush. Better than the others I've bought by Mac. I have to try Presage my next day out. Here's photo evidence of the awesome Fantastic. It's not super noticeable because I usually don't wear strong blush (anymore :haha, but hopefully you can see it.

I think it's funny that they have the more pigmented Shines now but also still have the original sheer ones yet both are still called "Rouge Coco Shine". I know online they have extra names attached like "sheer lip color/pigmented" or something but I think they should differentiate better. If someone was interested in the shines bc of their sheerness and went in and found Esprit or Suspense, they'd probably be very confused! I was never interested in the original shines bc I'm not big on sheer lip colors. I just feel they could give them separate names, like "Rouge Coco Shine Color" or something

Maybe I am doomed after allThe quad is very interesting. It came yesterday at almost 7pm and in that light looked grey, even swatched on my (yellow) skin. This morning I'm seeing the khaki both in the pan and on my skin. I like it a lot for my coloring. I also like both single es and the liner. I do see the bruise potential in Hasard but I think I'll like it paired with lighter/brighter shadows, maybe even with a little Illusoire; for my eye color anyway I think it's worth working with. Did not care for either Alchimie (against my skintone) or Mysterious (just too muddy for me), but I'm looking forward to getting Elixir today. Love, love, love Inspiration blushbut sadly my rosacea did not :whip: -- it caused facial burning for me. I love the color so much that I may keep it anyway to try again; my skin is at its most sensitive in the afternoon for some reason and that's when I tried it. I'm grabbing at straws, I know, but I would really like to be able to keep it!

Thanks for the comparison of the Chanel eyeliner and the Mac liner. I have the Mac product and will be playing with it a lot between now and mid -August, when the Chanel collection arrives here.
