RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection (June 18, 2013)

This was my first experience ever ordering a cosmetic item online. Is it always this bad with MAC? This has truly left a sad taste in my mouth. My RRB is still pending and it is the lippie I wanted the most. It would just my luck that I'd get it and not like it.

Hey ladies, I'm new to Specktra (brand new) but have been following for a while... I'm curious as to if any of you guys have had your backordered items shipped already? I received my first order containing both and they were both were melted to hell... I'll be out of town when my back orders arrive and I just KNOW UPS will leave them at my doorstep or toss them up on my balcony right in the sun. I'm tempted to have someone stay at my place while I'm gone just to make sure my ish isn't liquified when I get back!

I think it was just this RiRi collection that caused so many issues... I order from MAC online most of the time I shop with them, for perm and LE products, and I've never experienced issues like this...

I've had very small problems here and there. Pretty sporadic. Never seen anything as bad as this!

No this doesn't always happen I'm guessing only with big collections like celebs and stuff because my tropical taboo order shipped right away! A few so far have their backordered items shipped, mine still says pending

If you sign up for MyUPS you can change the delivery date or have it at the delivery center and you can pick it up there. Have you called about the order that you received?

Every know and then I'll receive an empty box or the wrong item but this past month has been the worst month probably ever for them.

My backordered items did ship, but due to the four day weekend here they will sit in the UPS facility till next Monday! But the best part is 112 degree weather to go with it lol
I would def get someone to stay at your place. No one wants melted lipsticks. Better safe than sorry hunni!

By nickname I meant what my friends call me not "butterfly eyes" lol. Just wanted to clarify. As far as if it finds packages immediately...do you mean will it find your current packages that are already in transit? I'm not sure. As far as future packages...I often find out about anything that has entered UPS system through them before I get anything from (in this case) MAC. Once it's actually in UPS system (not just a label generated) if that makes sense

Maybe they made a mistake shipped you someone else's you might want to find out and first make sure they didn't charge you for it though!

Everything was to my name and address, including on the invoice, but no price on the invoice just $0.0. I did check and they didnt charge me, logged into my mac account and nothing for this order was on it, ooh well, free lipstick lol

Yea, I was surprised at the vague CS emails everyone seemed to be getting, the cancelled orders and such... complete mess.

Thanks for the welcome! I think I'll try and do that. My lippies would be way safer in the del center than on my patio in 100+ degree heat! I called and let them know my items arrived damaged, but I have three backorders on the way so I'm going to give them a chance to arrive unharmed and just get a refund on the melted ones.

This release just really turned me off from ordering from new collections online. And I'm usually down for good stalk lol. I work 5min away from a mall with two MAC counters and lately I've had lots of luck stopping by on my lunch break and getting stuff on in-store release dates.

Ugh... I may see if I can get my bf to be there but I feel like they would pull a stunt and deliver earlier in the day than expected and come before he could even get off of work...
