MAC Tropical Taboo Collection (2013)

So Tropical Taboo appeared on the Belgian MACsite today, and the names of the blushes are wrong

There's a swatch of Sweet Samba next to Simmer and a swatch of Simmer next to Sweet Samba. What a surprise lol

Well, I missed the launch of the collection on the Douglas site. I'm really bummed, I was looking forward to it for so long. I stalked all day yesterday, almost didn't sleep at all and feel like poop. Only to find out I stalked in vain, because they had tech issues and didn't put it on the side until today, which I missed. When I saw it like 30 minutes later everything I wanted was already sold out. Apparently the MSFs sold out in 9 minutes.
That would've been the only site where I could've gotten a disocunt, so I always try to buy everything there, I hate paying the full german MAC prices.
I was able to order Simmer from another site though, it should be here tomorrow. And today I also was lucky enough to order Rio and Adored form the MAC site before they were gone, but I won't get excited until they actually get here. They have cancelled too many of my orders to trust them.

imo narcissus is creamier which I love my favorite is cremesheens its looks pinker on me then heroine.herione is a deeper purple and I love that so one I like for the feel on my lips (narcissus)and heroine I love for the color lets put it like this if I could have two heroine I would just not of brought narcissus lol hope this helps

Hmm I don't own any cremesheens and the fact that its creamier and pinker justifies buying. Decisions decisions, hopefully its still available when I go in today.

Thanks to this post I also ordered Adored next to Simmer today. My first MAC blush and msf!

Wearing Simmer with Adored as a highlight...... I may need to backup both! I'm not one for shimmery blushes but gawd Simmer made me fall in love with its color!

Oh and they messed up on the Dutch website too, put a picture of Samba under Simmer... I ordered that one, because last time Dutch people on here ordered going by picture they got the wrong order two times, lol

Just took this not too long ago. Here are swatches of "Lust" with other MSF's I own. From top to bottom: "Light Year," "Porcelain Pink," "Lust," "Stereo Rose," "Shape The Future" (mixed), "Shape The Future" (darker side) and "Shape The Future" (lighter side).

I wish it looked that different on me, they almost >< look identical.
It's safe to say we don't have an exact dupe, huh? I guess it all comes down to skin tone and lip pigmentation.

The darker you are the less of a difference you'll see.

Now that everyone has their goodies and had a chance to play with them I was wondering what everyone's favorite item is from this collection. I bought :

1. Simmer
2. Adored
3. Lust
4. 259 brush
5. Rio

I have yet to play with all of my stuff but was wondering if you had to choose a favorite, what would it be? Might be helpful if you could say what you skin tone is. Nw15 winter / NW25ish in the summer.

This may be a weird question, but do you all store your mineral products with the plastic insert inside? I didn't know if I should keep it in there for protection or just pitch it. Well, first I kept it there b/c I didn't know if I was keeping my item. LOL

I keep all of mine in the box and save them. The only one that still has the insert is Metal Rock but that's only because it didn't come with a box.

Once I move they'll all go back in the box with the inserts.

I never thought about saving the inserts.

That sounds like a good idea. Usually, I keep the boxes for a little bit but eventually throw them out. Thankfully, None of my products have ever suffered any damage in my makeup bag.

I bought narcisus (sp) (2nd back up), but gave it to my Mother. Awhile ago she said she wanted some color and I thought this would be pretty on.

I used to keep all of them but now I only keep them when they don't annoy me lol. Like it bothers me when I have to flip up the insert when I open an msf. I'm too lazy

Small order but i'm pleased, already planning to start saving for the fall collections
