I am surprised that Rio looks so pink...but you were lucky and got one with a lot of pink

Thank You :D can't wait to wear them as blushes. I got one of the girls to get them out the draw so I could pick one with plenty of pink haha. I was debating about Lust, but it is so similar to Rio I just had to pass, well on me it was but the only difference was it had a lot more sheen/shimmer than Rio.

I got to the counter at 10am, and was the first person to buy anything! My favourite MA was there, and she very patiently went through all the MSFs to find ones I liked :)
They had about 30 of each, but all of the Rios were really brown! I got the most pink one there was, but I'm still a bit miffed :(
I ended up with Lust, Rio, Adored (x2

), Sweet Samba, Simmer and the 159!

I deserve a medal for catching up to this wildfire-like thread. I didn't help that I had my kids' 7th birthday parties and relatives in town. I ordered Rio, lust and simmer. Should be here Friday. Hope I get simmer (ordered based on the name). Also just scored a fulltime job after 7 years as a sahm! My specktra and stalking time will be cut but I am very happy. I will still be here when I can. Specktra is by far my favorite forum.
Congrats!!! Yay!

I am stuck between Adored en Rio. Adored would be a nice highlighter and Rio a nice blush. Problem is, I think Adored looks a lot like Refined, wich I owned and gave away. Are they anything alike? If so I am going for Rio.

In the end I caved in and bought Adored. I wasn't going to buy anything as it's my birthday soon and I don't usually spend anything on myself before my birthday. I couldn't help it and bought it in the end because I know nobody will give me that for my birthday and I think it'll work on me. Lust seems really interesting too but I'd like to see it in person (not sure I'll be able to, though).
So, this is my first mineralized product, and my first skin finish....how will I use it?? I use face and body C1 and I'm not very skilled at everything...yet ehehee

That sounds like the formula they used for the Naturally MBs, like Early Morning and Fresh Honey! To me, those are the all-time best MB formulas. I hope they bring that formula back again SOOOOOOON.
I agree, I own quite a few Mineralized blushes and I absolutely adore Early Morning! I didn't get it when it came out, but managed to buy it off someone and I love it! It's what I wanted Ring of Saturn to be (I couldn't pick my swirls on that one since it was the last one left at the counter).

So, Tropical Taboo launched today here. I tried to see if it was out last night (because sometimes they do put out the collection already) but no luck. And this morning I was feeling uneasy (or more like, I couldn't wait) so I made a detour before going to work and thank goodness I did! They only received 3 Cha Cha Chas and 6 Simmers. I wanted a Simmer with as little beige parts as possible but since there were only 4 left, I picked the one with the least beige (and it was about half half). The beige half does look like a nice peach colour on me, but it is a bit too shimmery so I intend to buff it out.

As for Cha Cha Cha, that was a nice surprise. I already own Smutty Green, Blue Flame and She Who Dares but since Cha Cha Cha swatched so smoothly (I think Liba said some time ago that they were almost like Veluxe Pearls), I just couldn't resist. I got one that had distinct patches of green and blue so that I could use them separately. I was served by a MA I had never seen before, and I really like her because she obviously understood why it was important for me to pick my own mineralized products. I know a few of you mentioned this too, it is so annoying when they tell me all products all the same. This MA was also kind enough to exchange the 159 brush for me- I had already paid and was on the way out when I noticed that the hairs on mine were a little bent out of shape, so she gave me another.

I didn't get any of the MSFs because I wasn't very wowed by them. I did like the brown part of Rio on me, but I thought it rather similar to the darker half of Double Definition so I didn't bother getting anything. I have to say that I think this is the first time I didn't get a single MSF from a mineralized collection.

By the way, Erine, I was wondering what exactly are those client files about? They often scan my articles and then ask for my name, but in the last 7 years that I've been frequenting MAC, I never understood what that was for. Also I happened to glimpse at the screen and I saw that something was expired when she opened my file.

Today I wore Time To Tango with Orpheus to line and define. I was really impressed with the wear time. I got a good 7 hours before it started to fade and shed fall out without using a base, which is great for the glittery MES for me. Plus I applied it dry and didn't finish it with Fix+

! It still honestly looks pretty good even now. Used the small sized split fiber eye brush from Semi-Precious.

I finally broke out Adored for the cheeks - I got one with plenty of the coral, unlike the original test I'd used, plus I applied it with the 131, since it was right at hand, so it definitely gave more of a blush effect on me than before, but still only when the light hits just right. It's just fabulous.

I used Tangerine Dream on the lips, which at first I thought might not have been the best lippie choice for the look, but when it started to get dark, it looked perfect - I have to keep reminding myself the Tangerine Dream looks best on me at night!

I have a new, real-life makeup buddy and she's coming over tomorrow to play with my stash before we go do some July 4th BBQ + fireworks festivities. She's going to flip her lid for Adored and she's usually a matte face makeup gal. Time to leave the 90's behind all the way, girl!

I dont have a makeup buddy either, except y'all. Everyone that I know thinks I am absolutely crazy for spending $15.00 on a lipstick. If they only new the truth. Wow!

My boyfriend said something like that before. I said to him that for the price of one tyre on his car, I can buy like 12 lipsticks that will last me 20 years, so next time he orders some fancy parts for his car, he should just shut his pie hole and think about how many lipsticks I can get. I think that was the last time I heard any complains but I do have to say that I have also been very discreet about my purchases.
