I was so close to buying Gri-Gri today when I swatched it. I passed, but I'm thinking I need to go back. It's taupe! It's almost a law that I must have it.
I know what you mean.
And you can't know if it's the right taupe for your eye colour and skin colour til you've played with it.
Some taupes look gorgeous in the pan or swatched on the arm and meh on the eyes.
And vice versa.

I'm still dithering about the Stylus Moon River from the summer collection.
And now this quad and the two single eyeshadows...
And that eye liner.
Lord have mercy!

The two dark nail polishes and a suitable cream blush will do me! I'm not sure about the rest, especially with so much MAC on my to-buy list!

I was at my counter for a few minutes this weekend and tried two of the blushes.... the darkest red one and a pink one. They were both lovely but I didn't buy. Will have to go back later this week and make a decision. I purchased the alchemie nail polish and ordered the pink one from nordstrom a few weeks ago. It still hasn't shipped!!!! I know my local nordies and macy's have it in stock so I am curious as to the hold up but will be patient. It isn't as if I need polish or anything

Do any of you lovelies who have purchased Gri Gri have Le Metier de Beaute Corinthian to compare it to? Seeing that swatch of it next to Fauve makes me think they must be very similar, since Corinthian is just a little warmer and softer than Fauve. Since I have both of those shades, it should mean that I really don't need Gri Gri... I have a feeling that I'm not going to be able to stick to that resolution though.

^^Yes they are all very similar, but I still bought Gri - Gri anyway. Now I have all three.

Gri - Gri is Chanel's Corinthian.

Part of me is now saying I shouldn't need it because I already have the other two. Another part is saying that I love those two, so there's no reason I shouldn't buy another shade in the same family. Thanks for confirming my suspicions, though, Haven. At least now I know what I'm getting myself into...

So Gri-Gri is close to Fauve? How about NARS Lhasa? I wanted Corinthian but it was out of stock at the counter when I was overseas. No LMdB here.

To buy or not to buy gri-gri...

Here's a lovely run-down on LMdB's Corinthian with swatches and comparisons galore

We don't have LMdB in Madrid :( so I have an 'excuse' to buy gr-gri when it finally arrives in mid-August.

I also have RBR SH, which some people are comparing to these shadows as well. Though I have similar shades/colors in my stash I use this type of color a lot, so it will not go to waste. Therefore, I went for it. It is beautiful!

ETA: I compared Gri Gri and Corinthian more closely today. If anything, I would say that Gri - Gri is more sheer. It took several passes of Gri - Gri to get the color intensity of one pass of Corinthian. I used both for an eye look today. Corinthian on one eye and Gri - Gri on the other. I really couldn't see much difference other than the color intensity. (But I like the quality of Corinthian more...)

Canadian ladies, have you seen these in store yet? I've been in Europe for the past three weeks and their date is August 15th. Just flying back in Canada today and already informed my hubby our first stop once we get in is the mall :)

moon river is stunning, highly recommend it! I ended up with all the stylo colors!! they look really nice paired with illusion d'ombres - not sure if these are limited but IMO a must have!!

Thanks for the tip, pbpink.
Yes, MR's a limited edition and your comment decided me to plump down the cc for it.

Here's another review of the quad

Haven, I appreciate your comparison between Gri-gri and Corinthian. Thanks!
