For Me RRB is way better than UTA. So It's a no brainer for me - I have 4 RRBs. Lol!

I have three RRB's and would have snatched up another had it been payday....

I rolled up to the MAC site ready to purchase a Heaux BU and it was all gone! Meanwoos I'm really seeing the beauty of BUs. My older sis who I love so much raided my lippie stash and took my RRW and RRB BU. She wanted Heaux but that was my one and only and I wasn't having it. Funny how I slept on this lipstick but the one day I wore it out with Heroine l/l, I got so many compliments and people asking me what my lipstick was...to which I took great pleasure in telling them "heaux". I guess I need to re-up on my RRW BU while its still in stock.

In my opinion, Riri Boy is so much more interesting than UTA. Back it up if you can.

The struggle is REAL with these retro mattes though! I'm exfoliating out the wazoo and moisturizing prior, but in a few hours I have to completely wipe and reapply. But I love heaux so much, I always get compliments when I wear it so I just deal. Oh what price beauty!

I've noticed that some of my older mattes have "softened up" a bit if you will, they go on easier and aren't as drying, so I'm hoping that will be the case with Heaux as well.

There's a big difference between mattes and retro mattes in terms of texture. These are gonna stay much stiffer and drier than the mattes, which will be a bit softer in texture to apply.

Thanks luv!

Ugh. No hope for them softening up then. Daggone it. I'ma make Heaux work tho. RRW too... I usually use a lip balm before applying, but I may need something even more moisturizing.

Have you tried P+P lip? I use it all the time especially with mattes and I find it helps a lot.

My trick has been to exfoliate the night before and then put Dr. Lipp's Nipple Balm on my lips (or sometimes Jack Black balm.) It's still there when I wake up in the morning sealing all that moisture and softness in. Then I use Prep + Prime a few minutes before I apply the lipstick. Smoove...

MissTT - Thanks for the tip about Dr Lipp! From their website, it sounds like it is 100% Lanolin. I have a few tubes of Lansinoh (for my cuticles) and will give this a try.
