OMG I just figured out that what I thought was Caramel Coat is really called Camel Coat
th_roll1.gif
And here I was thinking why does this not look like caramel at all

I still want Clearwater, but the rest I'm not sure about.
I was hoping for a caramel color too! Very saddened by CC! Greyish colors are no good on my skin tone!
:agree:  Layin Low looks the way I imagined Camel Coat would. CC has no warmth. Copperhead can you or luvlydee swatch Camel Coat next to Groundwork? (And Layin Low if you have it.) I'm curious about how these shades compare on darker skin.
Layin low is exactly what I was thinking CC would look like! Going to have to pick that up instead :)

I will place my order on Clearwater and Layin' Low next week. Right now I'm trying to be good and not order anything until I pay my rent.

yup thats my case with winged liners. i dont listen to when people say follow the bottom of you lash line and extend it out. im like my eyes arent slanted enough for my winged liner to be how i want it by doing that so i have to try and just work around my own eye shape.   agreed! and its like not everyone with mono lids want to create fake creases. I see nothing wrong with not having a defined crease
Exactly! Some people can't do U&P winged liner. Some have to do straight out. If you have a more prominant brow bone, U&O doesn't necessarily work. Trying to go U&O hits that brow bone and it kind of kicks that line out of wack!

I already have Let's Skate and Rubenesque. I think i'm going to get:
Clearwater
Antique Diamond
Camel Coat
Stormy Pink
I want to test Perky. And i think i still kinda oughta get Dangerous Cuvée and Frozen Violet.

Yes, Camel Coat is NOT camel colored, which would be warmer and yellower, so i know that's disappointing for many. But i think the cool beige that it is will work on me.

I was hoping Tailor Grey would look like some grey cream eye color with some sheen (not shimmer) in some MAC photo shot we were sharing here. But it kinda looks like Maybelline Tough as Taupe and that looks atrocious on my by itself. I haven't tried it as a base coat because i was so disappointed. I mean, really, looks like i smeared something really dirty on me. I guess i need to try it as a base coat to see if i should just toss it out. So sadly i think Tailor Grey is out of the running for me.

I'm old and have a bit of droop from my upper eye area, so can't just do a simple wing. A pretty good mua at my local MAC tried to by stretching the skin and drawing the wing on, but i've known for a long time that doesn't work.

For me, i start the wing at the corner of my eye, skip a fold, continue it where the skin isn't wrinkled, skip the next fold, and finish it off. Then i go back and "connect the dots".

I can't do one of those dense, thick, tight wings, but i can get a nice line up, even if it doesn't look quite as lovely as it does on those 18-year old models. I can also work a winged look with smudged dark eye shadow. I do like those heavy painted on wings, but i gotta go with what i've got. And i can get it to work my own way and look nice on my 64-year old eyes.

Hey, Erine, what do you mean by U&P and U&O in relation to winged liner?

I ordered Clearwater and Camel Coat. I eventually want to get Perky. Is Groundwork discontinued? That is my favorite pp!

I noticed that it was gone the other day! I think it might be :( Nordstrom's website still has it though! I luckily just picked one up at a CCO

I was looking forward to Clearwater and Camel Coat, but neither one looks good to me now. Guess I'm skipping, unfortunately.

Ooops those are all supposed to be U&O (no U&P) , meaning up & out winged liner

That's what the book says :dunno: But my source agrees with my guess on what the eyes and lips would be.
