We should be able to come here and not feel used that we share information with each other and have people come here to solely read that info, take it and run! Of course this can be seen as dramatic but when you want something and are tying to be nice in helping others it gets extremely annoying to constantly miss out.
There are plenty of forums, private and public who go through this ALL the time and we are no different. I'm sorry if people feel like we are rude and dramatic and whatever else but to see someone solely make an account to bash people and our opinions is what makes the experience here crappy.
I wish I could just lock up this section but I don't have the power. Maybe soon that will happen but I can't do it.

I completely agree with you! I just take issue to people assuming that new joiners are just here to be selfish with the information that is shared here. I joined to contribute and to share information as I am able, and because I have a strong enthusiasm for cosmetics. And we are all subject to the same rules and restrictions of the site. There are people who have been here a long time that have obviously created bonds and friendships and have an understanding for things that some of us newcomers do not, and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. But damn, everyone on here was new at some point, and some of the commentary here can give the impression that being "new" is a bad thing, and that you are not allowed to have certain information. So far I've had nothing but good experiences on here, but I have seen some nonsense as well. It's hella easy for words to be misconstrued or taken out of context on a computer screen. But at the end of the day, it IS just makeup, and we wouldn't all be here if we didn't share a love (or at least a strong like) for it!

I'm new to this site and I came across it by researching the MAC Holiday Collection. I was looking around the site at different threads and I was so happy to see other people be passionate about makeup as I am and I wanted to join right away. However once I can across this thread I changed my mind. It seems like if your new here your not really welcomed. I understand certain people have been a member for a long time but I just don't think it right to be mean or gang up on someone who is new. If there are rules to this site maybe that should be mentioned after you create an account. To me I don't think anyone was trying to say something they were not suppose to I just think they were trying to be helpful. I myself am a shy person and I express myself thru makeup and I love everything makeup and I just don't feel welcome at all as a new member. My local Nordies has everything in stock except Nude and I got everything I wanted the day it was released at the freestanding stores. I wanted to help some of you by offering to help with the items your looking for but I just don't feel that way anymore. Its sad to see something that makes people feel so beautiful turn into something this negative. But I guess I will be the only one who feels that way sense I'm just a newbie.

Tell me about it! I see it everywhere on IG now. I really love it but it also seems "bulky" to me now. I'm thinking of upgrading to the hayworth set or a nice one I saw on Zgallerie but I feel bad since it was a gift from the fiance

Yes I agree with u 100 percent. i hate when new member join just for a new collection and u never hear from them again until the next collection.i understand people are busy I'm a busy bee and I always manage to contribute something to the posts and what not.i hope everybody gets along because at the end of the day it is just makeup.i welcome all new and old I just really enjoy reading comments it feeds my need to read.so newbie welcome and if u are not sure about something just pm someone.Quote:Originally Posted by Richelle83
