RiRi Hearts MAC Fall Collection (October 3, 2013)

Maybe I'm the only one but, I'm not batting an eyelash to the ebay prices. Think about it, most of us either spent hours in the waiting room, hours stalking for the collection to go up on retailer's sites, hours waiting in line at stores or counters, or hours calling stores, counters across the country trying to get everything we wanted. The difference is, we didn't have a price tag attached to our time. But, if we did, I'm sure the money 'spent' would be a lot more than what it says on the receipts, and a lot closer to the ebay prices.

I finally located a counter who had a few in stock. I was able to order 2 diamonds. WHEW!! After all this crap I feel so much better.
(had to ask her 6 times if for sure the items were there and that they were going to ship to me.)


Shout out to Raych1984 for offering to do a CP for me. That was nice of you to offer!

I was going a little crazy there with all the crap that happened. LOL.
Now it's time for a drink or 3. I think i deserve it.

And to everyone else still looking do not give up. keep calling, I've heard there are some stores that are barely getting some shipment in.

Exactly. The business person in me can appreciate tacking on the cost of time and the convenience afforded to the buyer. Ultimately, as high as the prices look they would never get that way if someone didn't see the worth in it. As much as I love my MAC products I know that the lipstick I buy isn't worth $15 on it's own (it's why MAC and other brands don't bat an eye at giving such generous pro discounts either. Even at 40% off they aren't losing money). Even the cheapest drugstore brand you may buy isn't worth the dollar amount you pay on it's on (if it's $1 it didn't take a fraction of that to actually make it). We're paying for the packaging, marketing, labor force, distribution, ingredients, etc as a whole. Ebayers are just tacking on their middleman costs....or the bidders are if it is an auction style listing. Even if someone is falsely driving the bid up there are some legit bidders that continue to bid higher because they want it bad enough. My personal limit for playing the game is far lower than some of those people though so I shake my head at it but hey...it's their money. As long as they aren't hurting anybody then what they choose to splurge on then it's their business. I just wish MAC would stop helping things out by making everything ridiculously limited so the cycle can keep being like this. And maybe chill out a little on every collection being LE. It's really ok to not toss one out every few weeks. I promise lol

Do you have a RRW in the regular packaging? If I'm not mistaken you can swap them out when you run out of the one in your SE packaging. Pretty sure Ernie (haven't said that in awhile lol) mentioned that before with the TR release when the topic of B2Ming LE packing and not wanting to came up lol.

Did you pat it on or rubbed it on? I think patting/dabbing it on with fingers may be the best technique.

I'm with you. It sucks when some ebayers buy up stock at stores and counters, but it's really not my problem if someone else wants to pay an exorbitant fee for those items. I got 99 problems and makeup ain't one.

I have 2 in the regular and bought one in the special packaging just because, got talked into giving it to my niece and am now hoping for a re-stock to get another. The packaging that I started out hating has kinda grown on me though I do still hate that giant R. lol

Please excuse everything lol. This is the Nude l/s......not sure if I like it. I didn't use it with a liner & I've read a lot of people have been using it with Cork so I may have to pick that up. It kinda looks grayish to me. Next time I'll wear it with a smokey look & see if it looks any better.

MAC finally contacted me about my cracked HK ... so they don't have any more in stock and don't know whether they'll restock so they're refunding me for me. Im just going to have to be careful and not carry HK around so it wont fall apart. 

That's so lame that they don't know if there will be a restock. They should at least call you once they make a decision.

All this talk about Diamonds perfume made me realize that I have a bottle of Armani Diamonds around somewhere that I haven't seen in a while and these posts are prompting me to go look for it.
