does it launch mon? or tues? normally they come out tues!! it'll also hit the counters too tho
I remember Beautezine mentioning the 14th, but I'm not 100% sure. My Plan B is to go to the counter before work on Thursday (after calling in advance to confirm if they're getting it for sure that day or not). The thing that sucks is that on both days, I work 10 hours, and at my job I have no access to the internet except for my phone, which I can't just whip out and use whenever I feel like it (customer service job). D; I'm settled on buying "You've Got It" and since that's the -only- thing I want, I'd be so disappointed if it sold out ridiculously fast or something, lol.

Now that I've checked everything out, I just want to say that Beautyzine's swatches, especially for the lipsticks and the fluidlines, are very very accurate. Thank you for the attention to detail!!!

This one shows the colors quite well too, especially the red lipstick Prepare For Pleasure and the pale pink nude Flair For Finery.

I wasn't prepared for Prepare For Pleasure. The gloss is really nice for a red gloss, especially since it's rare we get a true red csg, but it's still a very basic straightforward red. Nice an opaque for a csg too! I'm going to skip it, though, since I really don't wear the red glosses I already have. If I am going red, I want RED and that means lipstick 9 times out of 10. Which brings us to PFP lipstick. Now that is a gorgeous red. It's got the exact same moist brilliant color and finish like you get with Just A Bite, but while JAB is a bit brown and definitely a sporty sort of red, PFP is BRIGHT and classic. At least it's incredibly bright on my skin tone - and my coloring is such that a lot of reds do not look as bright on me as they do on darker skin tones. It's not a light or dark red, just super intense. It doesn't look magenta red like the description on me at all, most of just a true classic red - and that's the type of red I can't always pull off. I tried it on and instantly had to get a tube. I don't really want to BU any more reds, but I am thinking maybe I should BU this one after all, because like I was saying, I usually don't look good in classic style reds - I usually need something overtly blue or orange or darker or lighter than the norm. If PP is any indication, PFP is going to be another one that is going to look really different on different people, so maybe on someone else it will look bluer or more magenta.

Flair For Finery was not for me at all. It's very light and much pinker than Feed the Senses. FtS looks great on me, but this one was no bueno. I suppose if FtS looked all dead and corpse-like on you, FFF might be tons better, but it will always be really light. It's not the sort of lustre finish that blends well with my pigmented lips, but it does have good coverage for a lustre. It was the only lippie that was seriously a loser for me, but it ought to be a winner for pale NWs.

I will have to digress and say I don't think this collection is really well balanced for NWs - almost all the products lean a bit warm - not orange warm, but definitely yellow warm or brownish warm. If you are a pale NW, it's very possible that almost every item in this collection is going to be a little iffy. So many of the shadows have warm golden bits and though some of the MSFs and MBs are very sheer and even pale, they are going to show up on an NW15 in ways I know they weren't showing up on me, between NC15 and NC20. I am beginning to think my true NC15 days might be over, due to age or hormones or the health stuff, I dunno - in any case, this collection is AMAZING if you are the sallow type who normally can't wear gold eyeshadows, pink eyeshadows, taupe eyeshadows, etc. I'll talk more about this later when I get to Center of Attention, which is seriously quite unique, but perhaps not perfect except for certain specific skin types.

Just to finish up the lipsticks here, someone was asking if You've Got It will make them look like a 60's go go dancer. When I tried it on its own, I would have had to say yes. It's not the moist new-fangled frost like Warm Companion or By Design. It looked very flat and dry and more whitish creamish frosty than golden. I was going to skip it. Then my MA decided to try it on top of PFP and PP and let me just say Oh Lord! Then, you could see the glorious gold coming out really well and it lightened the deeper colors in this really attractive way, rather than in some bolt-on frankenstein style. I decided to get it, but I don't see myself wearing it alone, but either as a topper for other lipsticks or as a base for glosses - it should look really beautiful that way.
Thank you so,so much for sharing your thoughts, liba

Glad to hear this! I have the SK one but wanted to get the mac or Laura one
Yeah the comb is thick plastic and you can hardly get your lashes in between the comb. I was all excited when it came out but the trainer told me that EL safety protocol prohibited it from being good enough to thoroughly separate your lashes
Just curious (sorry if this was said earlier in the thread) - I know that this collection is supposed to launch online Monday, the 14th, but is there a specific time? Like, is there a point in me staying up later or waking up early?
No. There's never any specific time. Stalk at your own risk.

OK Liba, I'm super interested in Lavish living and Scene to be scene (purple lover here)...but does one need both?
Good question! I was just about to get started on talking about these, because they are not going to be to everyone's taste. I thought they were gorgeous and I cannot wait to bring them both home!

Lavish Living is so fabulous! I know it looks dark, but it's sheer in a really perfect way. It's like a more wearable Chanel Notorious, much sheerer and with more natural brownish tones. Even though it's sheer, it's easily buildable, so you can basically contour and highlight with it by adding an extra layer for the contour. Also, its very deceptive because it looks sheer just looking at your face head on, but if you turn your head just so, you will see an opaque metallic pink highlight, like the way Adore MSF behaves. It looked equally great on me at NC15-20 as on an Asian woman who was probably NC30 - on both of us, you could see the color perfectly. The color, btw, is really complex so depending on what brush you use and if you use Fix+, it can look more plummy, more dirty violet (like Notorious) or like a coolish brown sheer bronzer with a touch of red undertone.

The things to take into consideration: My MA mentioned he'd tried it on a very dark skinned MA he knows, thinking it'd show up just fine on her, but it's deceptive and it only looked like a highlight on her. The highlight color is quite unique - a plummy pink that's a little cool - like an all-around darker and plummier Rio. If you love the colors in Rio, this is less orange/more plum/mahogany. One other thing, just like Alpine Bronze and Amber Glow, there are sparkles. These are the sparkles that usually just read as a beautiful natural glow, but if direct sunlight hits just so, you are going to see lots of clear sparkle. You don't see the sparkle when you're at angles to see the metallic pink highlight and you don't see either the highlight or the clear sparkles when viewed face on in typical light. It's a chameleon. Unlike Amber Glow and Rio, there seems to be a little more pore emphasis overall, which is another consideration. I didn't feel like it was a problem, but others might be HELLZ NO. Overall, a fascinating blush that does so many things but you have to be ok with all the mineralize side effects! Strangely, my usual 188 did not work well for this or any other MB or MSF from the collection. It really did better with a plain old 109 and it was good with a 159 too. I guess everything is too sheer to really function with a brush that's not dense enough.

MEANWHILE, Scene to be Seen is great too, but for all the opposite reasons. It's the most pigmented of the MSFs by far. For fair skin, it might even be a little too dark - it takes a little care to apply if you are my skin tone, unless you are OK with the bronzed look, which I am. It's again a beautiful warmed, red-undertoned brown when blended down and viewed straight on, but the highlight is super strong and a fantastic strong pink. It doesn't look like a metal robot face, but like the Tropical Taboo MSFs, when it shows it shows bold. It's like a deeper, warmer Lust. The highlight square is truly with some glitter (clear) that is just this side of chunky, but I found it perfectly controllable and it didn't get flakey and fall-out-y and disco ball looking. It sort of melts in once you've applied it and if you use Fix+ it just goes towards being more frosty. This is a color and texture that will show up on even the darkest skin. If you like Lust's texture and style, but wished it was darker and less cool with more vibrant color, STBS will be perfect.

I would say if you are a paler NW, you may want to try these in person first. If you hate frost and glitter and shimmer and highlights, you may need to just skip this, but the colors are very unique and the texture of both the MB and MSF is incredibly versatile - you can get so many looks out of combining these two. LL is what I would call foolproof, but someone else might not agree with me - I think it's easier to wear than Exotic Ember, that's for sure…on par with Amber Glow, but deeper and no orange like Alpine Bronze.

I'm not sure at all what I should order. Maybe I should stay away from the MSFs?? I love them so much, I just want too much glitter.
Liba, do you think the peach blush would be a good choice for me?

My thoughts exactly. I was able to swatch the whole collection a few weeks ago and decided to skip everything as it did not go too well with my NW15 - 20 complexion. While I could make some of the products work, it's not worth the effort, time or money. There were some lovely collections and products this year that look outstanding on pale NW skin (and I heard through the grapevine that there will be some super duper pale NW collection in the foreseeable future). Divine Nights is really better suited for NC complexions. Hence my absence of posts in this thread as I will buy nada. NC guys and girls, enjoy this collection! Happy hauling!

Actually this is something I want to get around to saying when talking about Center of Attention and the MES, in particular: If you are NC and are sallow or olive skinned, with some redness in the cheeks or deeper pigmentation around the eyes, this collection is MADE for you. I'm in this camp and I was in hog heaven, because all those gold shadows are usually colors that look hideous on me and the MES here, each one looked more fabulous on me than the next. Same with the blushes and MSFs. I was thrilled. NW folks aren't going to be rolling around like a pig in the pigpen to the same degree, but hey - money saved, right? You NW folks will have lots of options coming up in the Extra Dimension collection and beyond!

Same here. I'm confused now after Liba's and MAC-Guy's posts, but it's a mineralize collection and a lot of it looks really good, so I think I'll still buy some things. I think I'll order one MSF and one or two MES.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Liba! :bouquet: If Flair For Finery is lighter and pinker than FTS I can skip it. Lavish Living sounds pretty but it's not for me. Guess it's now only Private Party l/s, Lured to Love m/b, Centre of Attention msf (maybe) from the color collection. :)

STBS is very different than the other 2 MSFs - just like Lust was really frosty compared to Rio and Adored. Sorry I've been so busy and haven't been able to discuss the other ones yet - they have their own unique issues, but they are definitely not the same finish and the main color is much more of a satin effect without sparkles. It might be pretty strong. I DO think Lavish Living would be awesome and the other MSFs would be great. I bet you could get STBS to work too - you're NC right? You'd have to really like a bronzer effect and sparkle 'n frost etc. though! Actually this is something I want to get around to saying when talking about Center of Attention and the MES, in particular: If you are NC and are sallow or olive skinned, with some redness in the cheeks or deeper pigmentation around the eyes, this collection is MADE for you. Thanks! I do not really like bronzer though, i dunno, i like to be fair, maybe its an asian thing? Lol. I guess i might just get CoA and call it a day then. Yea, im an nc20, so that should look great right? Im saving for the ipad5, so i ll probably only get one or two things.

Well shit. I just discovered that my car's brakes need replacing, as well as a few other things. I might not be able to get anything at all. Only working 8 hours this week doesn't help either. I hate being an adult sometimes.
I'm having car drama as well. Timing belt issues will lead to about 2k in repairs. :barf: I literally did that in my head when given the verdict.
