In any case I think the board is just changing. Not that that's a bad thing, just a fact. I think of it as MAC making a shift in people's perceptions. They used to do fewer launches and collections last longer so there was never any hype or rush. Now however there's 2 sometimes 3 collections a month and they're doing more and more high-profile stuff.
The higher profile stuff will - of course - bring folks who's major career is e-bay. MAC's created the hype machine and let's face it getting collections these days is ridiculous. Now its partly "Oooh I gotta get this" and "GURL I GOT this, you know MAC ain't easy for everybody but I got mine (cheese face" so the competition (intentional btw) is raised.
Facts are this board tends to stalk, announce, and discuss collections and that fact is getting out. Folks steal info from Specktra ALL THE TIME. Major blogs in fact, lol, so its not like we're getting thanked and patted on the back for our contribution to someone else's pocketbook. It was only natural eventually folks would get sick of the game and do something different.
I'd personally advise everyone to stop talking about any new systems, plans, pm's and etc. lol. Work it out behind the scenes
and if it don't work out then it wasn't meant to be

Sooooo.... You guys are a bunch of enablers I tell you! (Liba... I'm looking at you!!!) I want sooo much more than I initially did! I'm NC and you made everything seem awesome (I'm a shimmer/glitter fanatic) I think I'm going to buy my must haves on line and then check everything else out in store!! I just want to say I joined in January and I never had issues feeling left out! so thanks guys for being so welcoming 700 posts later

I've definitely been supportive of the idea, minute I heard about it I was like YES PLEASE. It's just not fair when some of us are constantly checking sites, losing sleep or what have you, and the lurkers whose sole intention is to profit off everything we do just log on here and snatch up items quicker than we can. Anyway, I won't rant on this but I'm glad we as a little community are doing something about it.

There is a lot to say about this collection!!!
I'm still running around at home trying to do a bunch of things at once but first let me talk about something simple: Private Party lipstick (and gloss) and Exclusive Event
Private Party is really nice, especially if you want a color that's a little different but not mega-in-your-face.
I was trying it on along with this gal who had to be about NC40. On me, it looks pretty much exactly like the promo pic,especially with the gloss on top - perhaps a teeny touch deeper and redder/wine-ier, but barely. On the other woman, it looked totally different - it looked like a subtle smokey mid-tone purple, like a greyed out Riri Boy..the sort of purple for women who want purple but don't want something that blares HERE'S THE PURPLE LIP MONSTER. I WISH it looked as gorgeous on me as it did on her, but the look it had on me, while more "normal", was still very unique - I honestly don't have anything remotely similar. It wasn't brown, it wasn't wine, it wasn't purple, it wasn't plum, it wasn't red….but it was neat! The gloss on its own is great too - it's not like Narcissus or Color Saturation or Richly Revered or Looks Like Sin, but I'd say on me closest to Looks Like Sin, but with a touch more plum - maybe like a more wine/plum Rosy Romance? I'd like to call the combo of lipstick and gloss "mahogany plum", even though that's not very descriptive. Great color and great combo and great worn individually or together!
Exclusive Event plus a little Stone lip pencil around the edges is a dead on dupe for Riri Nude on me. Nude has some extremely subtle pink undertones to it that EE doesn't have, and is a teeeeeeny bit darker than EE minus Stone, but you can basically stop worrying about a Nude BU and get EE and you will be fine. I love it and with Lavish Living blush and a little black eye liner, it's all I need to make this shade not only work but seriously WURK as a total look, with my coloring. It's what I wound up wearing all day and I felt very very stylish and not poo-mouthed in the slightest!(I had EE + Stone on my upper lip and Nude without liner on my lower lip and couldn't tell the difference in any lighting, including bright sun outdoors)
Finally something NC based and its mineralized? BOOOOOOOOO! Are you sure abot EE? LOL to me it looks like it will be a dark brown corpsey mess on me.
Thanks so much for the info, Liba! I was going to go crazy on this collection but I'm NW15- and you've helped me reconsider! Money saved, though I may get some Christmas presents for my NC30 friend
