MAC Divine Night Collection (October 17, 2013)

i think they are having problems with their system, not that they are picking and choosing. because even tho my email says pro discount available, it's not taking the discount off on the website when i add to cart

I am a pro, and it says that the pro discount does not apply. So what is the deal with that? Some pros are offered a discount while others are not? I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the last few years. I think they are going to get a piece of my mind in a hot minute.

We're being treated like we have no value to MAC lately and it's really irked me. I'd rather give my money to other companies with pro programs if this is the way MAC is going to continue to treat us. They've already got me looking the other way. I know I'm not the only one. Welcome! The color of PP is nothing like FOD, and neither is the texture. It's actually quite creamy for a satin, where FOD as a retro matte is much drier. As for Lavish Living, it pulled purple enough on my skin that I intend to use it as a blush, however if upon application to my face it turns more gray or shadowy, then it'll be a contour product for me. It does have enough shimmer in it though that I can't see myself contouring with it. I guess this all depends how it shows up on my face! What the actual fuck is going on -.-

Exactly! Irked is a very polite word! I got my PRO email at 8:15am saying the discount IS available... But still won't apply it to my order! In the meantime there are going to be sellouts while MAC gets around to caring? MAC was built as a PRO based company... I shouldn't have to call & ask for a discount I qualified for and pay for and we have received on EVERY HOLIDAY COLLECTION as long as I can remember. I researched & asked countless questions trying to compile a well thought out list (just ask Liba) so to not over purchase and potentially keep products from other buyers that I won't love and use. And MAC can't get around to working this out for their PROS! Brings to mind a quote by my father: "Once you eat a shit sandwich, it's always on the menu." Well, I'm not eating it MAC.

So sorry to hear that the Pro members are getting the shaft here (Dusty's 'pass the lube' video comes to mind). It's one thing to limit quantities or launch at the same time as for 'regular' customers for really heavily coveted launches, but asking you to pay full price (or wait to get a discount until items are gone) and ALSO pay for shipping is just ridiculous.

I tried calling MAC today regarding this whole issue. Lucky for them, they are closed today for their Thanksgiving Day. But they won't be so lucky tomorrow!

As to what one of the other Specktra members said about already looking at other lines to purchase from other than MAC due to their latest business practices, I'm right there with you. They are not the only game in town.

I'm not a pro, but this is how I feel about being asked to pay more than 20% more in Canada than the US for products that are freaking MADE HERE. MAC was a Canadian company - I remember buying 20 years ago in a flagship store on Queen Street. Really, MAC? You make the products here, ship them to the US and then sell them for LESS there? Don't talk to be about higher labour costs, tariffs or any other BS excuse. They got made less than an hour from my house. I should at least be able to pay the same price. I don't have a problem with exchange rate changes, but even when we're at par we pay a huge premium.

Majorly pisses me off. Don't mean to hijack your legitimate rant, Pixie. It just burns me how they have no problem swatting aside the very people who made them successful.

OH yeah, its def crazy. I've paid my dues... I should be able to get this collection with my pro benefits with no issue. I MAY still purchase when they hit the stores.. but still doesn't change the fact

Yep sadly they just don't care any more it's all about the revenue. Estee Lauder is a power corp. i'm surprised they did'nt shut the Pro discount down when they acquired MAC,or dramatically raise the cost of the Pro program.Figuring that most people will probably pay any ways if they want the goods. I don't see what the big deal is, it's not a collaboration collec and the packaging really is'nt thay special! They had a Pro discount on Archie but not on some cheesy gold lipstick tubes? Logic..they clearly have none (whoever is in charge of the Pro discounts).

alright everyone... I called Mac Pro and I was informed that it is in fact a glitch and it has not been resolved. However, if you call them they will issue a credit for the difference. They said that if I were to place more orders for this collection, that I would have to call them to get the discount because they can apply it over the phone through their ordering platform. currently, they are working on the glitch and aren't sure when it'll be resolve. So I advise everyone who placed an order yesterday to call Mac Pro and they will issue a credit for the difference. The supervisor said I'll take a few days but not to be afraid to call the place a phone order for anything else in this collection.. I hope this helps!

PFP is definitely a cousin to Moxie and Love Goddess. Can't say whether it's a dupe as I didn't have those with me to compare in store. PP is not as close to Glamourdaze though. Much more purple/plum in it where as Glamourdaze has more red/brown tones.

I'm still waiting until it shows up online, if it ever does. I don't trust MAC with charges and refunds. They'll take forever to refund and I'll just be more mad. I'd rather wait it out or just go in store Thursday.
