MAC Divine Night Collection (October 17, 2013)

GAH! I get frustrated when lip swatches of a collection doesn't come out till days after it has launched. By the time you see swatches and decide what you want, it's all sold out. Happens to me every time. I want to jump on Private Party l/s But, I'm not sure I'll love it. In the few swatches I've seen of it, it's only on the hand and not the lips. And it looks completely different in every swatch. Ugh!

I've only ordered the purple and nude lippie, and the purple polish. Is there a dupe out there for the purple polish?

I ordered Private Party on a whim yesterday too lol. I was considering the gloss as well but without swatches and already taking a chance on the lipstick I didn't want to have the lipstick and the gloss just in case I don't love it. I love how mysterious that CSG is lol I haven't seen a single pic! My order is still pending as well but if it helps, they usually take 2-3 days to process when I order from a new LE collection, don't worry ladies! I'm expecting a shipping email tomorrow, I notice for me it always comes (the email) the morning after the first day others get shipping emails

Saw the collec, Private Party reminds me of Hot Chocolate possibly? The red lippie did not impress me it was kinda boring to me but would look nice with the matching CSG. PP CSG was not my thing either. Stares fluid line reminds me of Modern Pewter ED shadow a bit. The polishes are great but easily dupeable i'm sure. The MsF's were ok the purple ish one was my fav. Lavish living blush is hot! Too dark for me though. The eyeshadows did'nt interest me.

I had a bunch of things quoted & lost them... So I'll try to be brief... @Liba... I especially appreciate your voice of positivity & reassurance in this whole mess. It's always a refreshing & enlightening experience reading any post you share. As for us slighted pros... I feel like FOD lipstick! It's limited, it's not limited. Does anyone really know?! Heehee I am definitely NOT calling any customer service. I refuse. I'm a stubborn girl like that sometimes. I believe MAC is aware of the issue. And whether they decide to fix it or not will determine whether or not I purchase from this collection. Period. I received an email that clearly stated we were supposed to get it. If their inner workings are THAT messed up, I don't want to hassle with hoping to get refunds and all. It's just too much drama for me over makeup. Originally I was really really upset. It's a slap in the face of PROS. But as the days gone on I've decided to NOT allow them to upset me further. I'll spend my money for this collection on Hourglass, OCC, and Chanel products on my wish list. You are trying to play games with the wrong girl here MAC. If you fix this "glitch" I may order if I have the time.

I heard back from MAC Pro that they are not giving the discount and I told them they should be sending out emails to correct the mistake of saying it was discounted.

Pros don't have time for this kind of rot, and to cut them all off b/c they were allowing some people to abuse the system is silly and cutting off their foundational people. I hope they figure it out before it is too late. I didn't bother to look at this stuff- w/o discount forget it. Not interested.

smh well if I decide to get anything else will be on nordies. I hope mac figures it out too because if this crap keeps happening I'm going to have to say deuces to the pro card and just get the small stuff at mac if that.

Why would everyone except pros get free shipping? Makes no sense but I'm not mad haha

I think they should at least give pros free shipping if we're not getting a discount because we're paying extra. It's such a huge turn off and I hope the punk collection isn't the same way if so I will be pissed.

So far I've gotten myself 3 things from this collection, a nice little number, that way I feel like I got something special without the guilt of feeling too greedy.
But I keep thinking about Flair For Finery lipstick and this feeling I have in the back of my mind that it's going to be awesome and might sell out- UGH. Also that darned frosted lippie! Why do I want these? They're not exactly in my realm of what I typically reach for. I might go for it, but I'll wait for more swatches and reviews. Also Talk of the Town mineralize blush is really grabbing me! It's basically a rose gold mini MSF. I know people don't typically like how glittery some mineralize products can be, but I have to say I'm kinda surprised not more people have jumped on this one. But then again- I've never even seen the thing, I could be wrong of course. But from my view right here, it's so unique and pretty
