I know I'll be skipping the sparkly CSGs since they're so sheer, but I've seen conflicting reports about Dark Outsider's opacity, so I'm on the fence about that one until we see more swatches.

In the pictures of the lipstick duchess they are gorg, but from what I understand they look quite different in real life.

I have all the Metallics lippies and I like them a lot (Subverted's my favourite). That said. they're nowhere near as striking as they look on those pics.

You were wondering about whether or not to get Dominate, right? If you have Smoked Purple I'd say it's skippable unless it's a colour you wear on a regular basis. Add a tiny bit of gloss over SP and you have a decent approximation of Dominate.

I saw a Fergie Wet N Wild black lippie. So I could try that first. My mother loves black lipstick, and so do the "mothers" at my church, so that is the other reason why I am little spooked about Punk Couture. I don't want to look 60+ when I'm only 32!

Yeah, they do not really look like that. Sorry to say. They look more like the full face pic she has IRL. Dark, not really shiny or frosty. Not really metallic. A bit of sheen is all but very dark and Dominate isn't at all the BRIGHT purple it shows in that pic. It is a blackened purple. Get smoked purple and you will be fine.

Seriously though, I'd save my cash for the upcoming collections. If you don't already have SP and you happen to come across Dominate in CB or wherever once MAC gives us a bit of room to breathe (i.e., when pigs grow wings), great. If not, I wouldn't worry about it at all

Wait, what? You liked Subverted better than Dominate? I may have to track that down then...

I wanted them at first but now I'm on the fence... I feel like I'd be just fine using MAC clear gloss if I don't feel like wearing the lippies in their normal finish. Sheer sparkle/glitter gloss does nothing for me.

I agree completely. I can find a clear sparkly gloss anywhere.
