Well it would be a lot easier to make the black lipstick appear more purple or red mixing it with different pencils and glosses, so maybe just get the black, if you feel on the fence about these.

I'm the sort that has no problem at all wearing black lipstick, even in the daytime with black jeans and a t-shirt and even I don't wind up wearing it as often as I could.

Another idea is go buy a cheap black lipstick now, try it and see what you think and then you will know for sure if it's worth it to go through what we know will be a huge buffalo stampede for Hautecore.

Good, I have both. However, Dominate does look a lot bluer in your pics. Due too lightning? Yesterday I came across the lipstickduchess. Is that you? :sneaky: She made me want all 4 n&m lippies...

If you are looking for another deep purple lipstick check out Wet' N Wild "Vamp It Up".
I am always looking for these kind of colors (can never have to many...) and so I ordered it.
It is a bit more purple than Smoked Purple.SP is matte and VIU is semi-matte.

yeah , i got both of these..but i find the wet n wild one goes more black...and smoked purple is a touch lighter....great colors though..

With "a bit more purple" I meant "a bit deeper, more blackened-purple".

Pictures from the lipstickduchess. Nudes and Metallics lippies. I kinda want to have them now. I do think that Instigator will fit the blurple bill more. Not so sure about subverted though. Rena, Buick, you're killing me here. I proudly skipped those lippies and now you're fuelling a lemming. No bueno :nono:

I have all of these and will have to pull them back out to refresh my memory but she has me wondering a bit if she used any filters or liners to help these out a bit. I don't recall them coming out quite like this. I remember liking them (I just recall being less than thrilled with one because it didn't really pull purple on me at all at the time) but the application was nothing like this on me. Yeah....I know what I'll be playing with while watching football today lol

They did not look like this on me at all either. AT alllll. IDK how they look so great on some people and just normal on me. They were not that metallic looking on me either.

So I can at least cross off 3 out of 4? Buick still makes me want to get dominate. Then again, she looks smokin' in everything... I should save my money for other stuff I guess. Hopefully you have helped me kill my lemmings, at least partially... Thanks gals!

They are worth getting in my opinion (I think the whole collection was slept on and a lot of people really regretted it. I still think it's one of the best collections MAC released this year). I just didn't get the results that were shown in that pic when I wore them. At least not back then lol

On me most of them looked more frosty than metallic really and nowhere near as deep as the lipstick swatches from the previous picture. She must have layered them several times

plus her lighting is kinda dark.

Do you think maybe these might be too bold for some people? Of course us specktra peeps will go crazy for this. But others?...I wonder hmmmm
