I love MACs clear lipglass!! That along with chestnut lip liner was my very first purchase from mac in 1998.... I use to line my lips with chestnut and then fill my lips with the lipglass

Ahhh that was my thing! I was in junior high in '98 and btw '96-'98 I wore that OUT! I had no knowledge of MAC then though, but I kept a Jordana or Hard Candy brown LL and some clear BSS gloss in my backpack lmao!

In random blurple lippie talk, I just picked up Illamasqua Kontrol after seeing it on Ms.Fitted and I'm like "Where has it been all my life???"

Isn't it great! It's my favorite purple lippie ever! I hate the price point though...

Subverted is the only lippie I got from this collection (and Barefaced

). I figured it's the only one that will suit me (and I do like it). I also have Tabla (looking for a liner for it atm). I'm trying to stick with warm(er) browns, especially if they are darker/pigmented.


You are right. Normally I try to use colours that make me look fresher and - if not younger - not at least older. Although I have been using some darker colours / the new mattes of late, so I'm still interested in these Punk lippies. Maybe I can mix/layer/ombre with them. And this collection won't be released here, I'm sure, so no one would have them here.

Subverted is my favorite of the four too, but they're all just so amazing. The frost finish they have is spectacular - it makes your lips look so moist and full and dimensional, which is so important with such dark colors.

I was relieved to hear that the black will be matte, rather than retro matte for the reasons you're saying. I do really like the retro matte formula that's been busting out all over, but I've got to think through the right blush and eye makeup when I wear them, or just go really simple and only wear the lipsticks on their own with nothing else. If MAC does a Punk Couture style collection next year, but gives everything that Nudes & Metallics frost, I am going to be going ten times more bananas than I already am over this one!

yea heroine is amazing like that! I swear I wore that lipstick for a str8 week everyday lol its one of those colors that looks fab with or without a full face of makeup

If I'm eating with my mom she always asks me why I'm taking my lips off. She doesn't understand why. So i left it on once and showed her what happens. Now she knows! :haha:

I thought I was one of few who did that. I cant for the life of me get any lipstick to last through a meal. Do you know anyone who can? I always see celebrities eating and drinking with makeup. How do they do it???

I've considered taking off my lipstick to eat, but I feel like it would be such a waste of product. When I put on lipstick, I want it to last for at least six hours. But if I eat with it on, it gets messed up anyway (unless it's one of my mattes, which usually do actually last through a meal.) So I can't win!
