I had a hair product fascination phase several years ago that eventually had me giving away and then tossing out a whole bunch of stuff including expired vitamins that supposedly promote hair growth. I still end up giving my mom, sisters and in-laws stuff from my make up stash. I have sold from my backups to reinvest in new launches so I don't feel guilty of overspending. I guess that's called make up vicious recycling.

The only way I can manage my collection is by physically limiting it to the size of a particular drawer. I'm already deciding what to do so I can make room for the Hourglass Palette I just ordered. So far Nico and South Beach are on the chopping block. Haven't worn either in a very long time and I don't love them. They're history. I recently BTM'd some lippies I was tired of and knew I wasn't going to reach for. Instead, I got two I really like in my new preferred finish (Creamsheen). There's nothing I like better than clearing out clutter. I force myself to be ruthless because I already have more makeup than I need and I know that if I start a larger storage system I'll just fill it. So whatever isn't loved gets gone.

Same. I have one drawer and if I think it's getting full then that means I need to slow down on the buying and use up some stuff. Of course, being a student means I can only afford one or two items from most launches anyway. Some I skip altogether. I think it kinda forces me to be selective, though. I can imagine that if I had the means to buy whatever I wanted it would be harder to control myself.

I'm liking Cremesheens, too. Apres Chic, specifically. So easy to wear and it gives my lips a break from the Retro Mattes.

Glamourdaze and Apres Chic were my first two cremesheens, and I love both. I also really like Dare You, Hang Up and Feel My Pulse. I mostly wore mattes and satins for well over a decade, even when everyone else was just doing gloss, and now I'm tired of them. I haven't bought a single retro matte this year and haven't been remotely tempted until Instigator. I really like the creamier finishes.

I always swatch Hang Up and think it looks so pretty but I never get it because I'm buying some LE lipstick. I should add it to my next order. And I had never heard of Dare You. I need to explore the perm. line some more.

I got both Dare You and Hang Up through BTM, so they feel like bonuses. LE sells out so fast that I've never even attempted to use my empties for those. I've probably gotten six free lippies over the last year that way. I love BTM.

5
Were you trying for five Def Defin? Cuz I think its my fave EDSF
Did you end up liking STF enough to keep them all?
Well STF and DefDef skus were mixed up on the macys site, so i ordered 2 DefDef and 1 STF, and they sent me 1 DefDef and 2 STF. So i contacted them and asked them to fix my order and they apologized for the mixup but sent me the same order again! So i tried to order it again on their site a different way it was still all screwed up. Needless to say i returned all but one of the STFs to my local macys (they were glad cuz they had sold out and they could resell em) and i got the colours i wanted in the end.

Yeah I remember this mix-up thing, was the same here in France, I ordered 1 DefDef, got StF. I tried it on, liked it and kept it. Due to budget restriction, I did not bother getting DefDef, and by that time, it was sold out anyway, so... patiently waiting for a repromote :)

As for BUs, I never BU, I just have no room lol. Not that my collection is huge, but my place is small. And with a baby, my budget goes elsewhere :) I just BUed Twilight Falls from Naturally, once I noticed that 6 months after the release, the dome was already half cut !!!

I like At Dusk and Bareness, they look very natural on my skin (I think I'm nc20), even without foundation as I go very light-hand. I hope the best for the upcoming blushes and SF.

I found Bareness at my cco with a back up for At Dusk. These may quickly become my favorite blushes. I am eagerly awaiting the next round of these.

Hi! I am fairly new to Spectra and brand new to this thread! I just got into MAC this summer and I'm already following LE collection releases so I've obviously caught on pretty quickly. This collection sounds so gorgeous and my list is already pretty long. I can't wait for swatches!

For now I have a very small wishlist but I'm not sure if I'll end up buying or skip this collection altogether because EDSFs aren't my thing. :\

:

Close Contact - creamy peach (Amplified Creme)
Morning Rose - soft cool rose (Cremesheen) *I really liked the description of this one but I'm a bit wary of cremesheens. :S
