MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

I'm backing up the purple lipsticks and that's probably it. My lipstick inventory is getting ridic. I've only finished two MAC lipsticks ever since I got into MAC (some time in 2010) and I think they were fresh brew and amorous. And I hate them both now and never re-upped lol. I have a fear of running out of purple so I have no qualms about keeping a stash lol.

I agree... I tend to use my LE more sparingly and I like to use my perms. But idt I ever finished a lipstick since I have so much

I'm buying both purples and strongly considering the black. Depending on how the red looks in person I may get that too. Its crazy I just really got into lipsticks. I used to only buy glosses and was afraid of colour. Since buying heroine, I have bought 13 lipsticks and the only reason it is 13 is because I really only like matte and retro matte finishes. My lipstick holder only has room for 10 more. Depending on what I buy between the PC collection and RiRi collection it will almost be full. In less then a year. Smh

I've backed up here and there over the years, since diving head over heels back into MAC limited edition collections. I back up MUCH less now, though, because I'm getting used to how MAC staggers their colors through their collections. They seem to put out a really outrageous color that you're telling yourself "no WAY this is more than a crazy one shot", it becomes hugely popular, and then before you know it, by the next year, they've repromoted it or even made a whole collection with multiple versions of the same type of color - I'm thinking of Reel Sexy now: that color seemed so extreme, I loved it and wound up using half a tube without a backup. Then I bought a BU off a lovely Specktrette, but THEN lo and behold, there was that whole All About Orange collection with many different lipsticks that were equally cute or even better, all in the exact same vein.

I DO have a few shades I'm glad I backed up, though. My number 1 "phew, glad I have a BU" is Go For It lipstick, which happens to be PURPLE so yep, I understand about the purple love.

I'm also glad I have a BU of Restrict, which is just the best dead of winter nude possible for me. MAC has made quite a few similar colors since, but none are quite as awesome as Restrict (Feed the Senses was close though, in a pinch). All we ever really need to do is wait a couple of years at the most, and something equally good or even better winds up appearing.

I maaaaaaay BU the grape purple in this collection, but I know I'm not going to BU the red, no matter how much I love it, because I've got many reds to cycle through for a good long time. I've got plenty of reddish purples like Instigator too. The matte black is tempting to BU for me, but I know it's going to be hard to go through one tube of that in the first place, even though I do wear black lipstick here and there for day or night. MAC will bring another black out eventually so I can wait and see what that'll be when it comes.

Hopefully we will see an "All About Purple Collection" next year

No backups for me either. Only lipsticks I've bu'd is Restrict, Gaga 1 (second one came in a vivaglam set), and of course Venus! Bolder lippies last longer cause I usually don't need to apply as much. Plus I'm eying the 12 liptar set. Now if they repromoted Playtime I'd get two bu's!
