It's hard to say what shifts would be as it would be at the discretion of the manager. I work anywhere from 3.5 hours (during the week b/c I have a FT job) to a 9 hour day. It depends on your availability and the store needs.

Not sure if anyone remembers the cosmetics lawsuit from a couple years back, but during the whole "free cosmetics" frenzy I managed to get three different Lancome mascaras for free and all of them worked really well for me. I can't remember the names exactly but I know one was called something Fatale, the other one was a curved brush, and the last one was another comb-type one. I may buy some more Lancome mascaras in the VIB sale because my past experience with them has been great!

Second this. I work anywhere for 3.5-4.0/shift hours during the week (I have a FT job in a different field) and can work up to 8-9 hours/shift on the weekends.

Anybody knows how the exchanges in Sephora work, if you purchased something with discount? For example if you buy a blush for 30$ with 20% so you pay 24$, can you later exchange it for different brand of 30$ value or the 24$ value? Or just same brand - different color? =)

Wha? Girl what's this lawsuit?
I don't know the exact details of it, but I heard about it through a friend who worked at a big department store chain. There was a certain day where department stores were giving out cosmetics for free because they lost the lawsuit. We got in line at Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Saks, Macy's, and Bloomingdales and got one free item from each store. The stores each had their own list of items that people could choose from. Some were skin care, but most were cosmetics. I know Lancome was one of the brands on all the lists; can't remember much of the other brands.

Kinda off topic, but there was talk of Ulta earlier... I received a 20% off coupon via email, so I placed an order for a few Tarte sets that are exclusive to Ulta:

Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Portable Palette Set
Tarte Clutch The Spirit Lipgloss Set & Clutch
Tarte Picture Perfect Limited Edition Gem Eyelash Curler

I swatched the palette in person, and I really liked it. I like last year's gloss set better, but the clutch looks nice, so I couldn't resist. I needed a new eyelash curler, and I've heard good things about their curler, so I wanted to try that one.

Yes, I love me some Tarte!

Nice :D I wanted the red lash curler from Lorac set, but the online coupon wouldn't work on it and they never send me other coupon so... :(

My local Nordstroms has the entire NARS holiday collection in stock (minus other store exclusives). I am trying to be strong and wait for Thursday.

I ordered and just received the Anastasia Lavish Palette and a Josie Maran duo (argan oil and cleansing oil). I had been wanting to try Josie Maran and I had been eyeing that Lavish palette for a while so now was as good a time as any. I also got a sample of Prada Candy perfume. This will be something that I will probably ask for for Christmas. I really like the way it smells.

Please tell me what you think of the Lavish Palette. I've been going back and forth with this one.

I tried the josie maran cleansing oil and it doesn't remove waterproof mascara after the first wash :/ . But then again, I put on 3 layers of mascara lol. The Prada Candy perfume smells so good! I'm thinking of getting that also.

I'll try it the next time I have to remove makeup. I don't wear waterproof mascara so hopefully removal will go smooth. Oh yeah, that Prada Candy is real nice. I spritzed a little of the sample on the back of my hand and I'm continually sniffing it.

I've noticed many people mention the Shiseido Benefiance set. Awhile ago, I had a sample and can't recall my experience with it. Has anyone else tried it before? Is the $55 price tag worth it? I imagine the set makes it more palatable for me. Lol.
