Sephora Friends & Family 2013

I ordered and just received the Anastasia Lavish Palette and a Josie Maran duo (argan oil and cleansing oil). I had been wanting to try Josie Maran and I had been eyeing that Lavish palette for a while so now was as good a time as any. I also got a sample of Prada Candy perfume. This will be something that I will probably ask for for Christmas. I really like the way it smells. 

I love the argan oil, moisturizer with the SPF and the cleansing oil. The cleansing oil is much better than the mac one as it has argan oil in it but I think it removes everything but you have to use the clarasonic or a similar cleansing brush, but these products are HG for me. Hope you like them. I really envy you for the lavish palette , would have got it but decided to get the laura mercier artist. Seriously there are so many palettes at this time and I can't have them all. As for the prada candy amazing bought the full size but I'm not sure if it has a strong staying power on me, but maybe that is just me. Let us know what you think of the lavish one.

Kinda off topic, but there was talk of Ulta earlier... I received a 20% off coupon via email, so I placed an order for a few Tarte sets that are exclusive to Ulta: Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Portable Palette Set Tarte Clutch The Spirit Lipgloss Set & Clutch Tarte Picture Perfect Limited Edition Gem Eyelash Curler I swatched the palette in person, and I really liked it. I like last year's gloss set better, but the clutch looks nice, so I couldn't resist. I needed a new eyelash curler, and I've heard good things about their curler, so I wanted to try that one.  Yes, I love me some Tarte!

I finally got my F&f stuff thanks to miissTT and richelle, love ya specktras. I LOVE the laura mercier artist palette and ofcourse my love for buxom lipglosses made me get the 15 set of glosses which are so beautiful . Will wait for the VIB sale but I do not know when it usually ends cause I am in no hurry.

Yes, thanks to MissTT and Richelle. I don't think I've seen that Mercier Palette. I must go look it up. I saw you commented on the Lavish palette. I can't wait to try it out. I love that it also came with a brow pencil, liner, a dual ended brush (that I probably won't use much) and a set of tweezers (although I have been using the razor more lately). The value was just too good to pass up.

I'm new to makeup and still struggle with eyeshadow application (I'm pretty sure I look like a NC50 version of Tammy Faye Baker). But I absolutely love the Anastasia Lavish palette! The colors are really pigmented. And like you said, with the accessories, this palette is well worth $39.

Baby1black, I just went to Sephora to look at the Mercier Artist Palette. Yes, that is a very nice looking palette too. Some really nice looking shades in there.

I still haven't got my VIB card in the mail, but I'm confident it will work since when I enter it on Sephora, it says the code hasn't started yet. I'll probably call them on Tuesday just to make sure. If anyone's on the fence about the Hourglass palette, I highly recommend it. I used all three powders today and my sister actually complimented me on how nice my skin looked. Hourglass is never allowed to discontinue Dim!

Does anybody have the Smashbox Full Exposure palette? Im thinking of getting that or the Laura Mercier one, because Lorac Pro is out of stock.
The Smashbox palette comes with a double ended brish and mascara for $49 and Laura Mercier is $48 for just the eyeshadows. So, obviously the Smashbox is giving me way more for my money but I like the colors in both. Cant decide.

The laura mercier palette is more beautiful in person. I've used it several times this week. It reminds me of my lorac unzipped palette. My new obsession is the Smash Box Full Exposure Palette. It's the perfect combination of velvety matte and shimmer shadows and they're all neutrals. I read many grest reviews about Bite lippes and I want to snag a few tarte blushes.

I had the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palette in Tease but I took it out after swatching it at Sephora this afternoon. It felt lovely but I felt like I could dupe it. I also took out the Deborah Lippmann set because well I'd rather have the Laura Mercier palette. Also the brush came out because I saw it today at Sephora and I honestly thought it was a denser brush. Sort of like the Sigmax series from Sigma.
