All Things Sephora

I did a search on VIB Rouge, hoping to find that someone received a special freebie or email about Rouge, and I came across this: http://www.topicbits.com/links/19957-discussion-psa-sephora-rouge-benefits.

I obviously can't verify this, but I'm hoping this is true. Although, why would you prematurely launch a program without finalizing details and promotions that you promise in your program? Kinda silly.

I don't think anyone knows since VIBR is so new. I would say y'all should take to Sephora's own forum BeautyTalk to discuss how you feel about the Rouge perks. They need to hear feedback that people don't think they're getting much for what we're spending. $350 to $1000 is a huge jump. So far people haven't been seeing the perks differ from VIB. Then there are those who are getting free shipping for a year by paying $25. Clearly that's a better deal than spending $1000 for it, but I'm no economist...
My hope is that the Rouge will be much better in 2014, but they need feedback to get it there. Lots of it!
I agree. What's the point of giving Rouge free shipping benefits if other members can just pay $25 for it.

I mean I would have made Rouge status regardless because of my shopping patterns not just to get free shipping. But why market it as a "special" perk when it's really not that special and everyone can get it by spending a measly $25. Not trying to be a brat but I really hope they step it up for Rouges otherwise it's pointless. Just keep us all at VIBs then the expectations wouldn't be so high. Honestly I wouldn't have cared otherwise but since they created a big hype about it now I expect something bigger than my free red mini lipstick. Meh.

I'm another who thinks the Sephora perks are lacking, I feel like they're really stingy with everything, the only decent benefits are the 500 point perks. I feel like Rouge should have perks like the 500 point things either just as a free thing or for like 100 points, or something similar to an Ipsy bag every month (with deluxe samples or full sized products) just something to match the apparent "high level" they promote Rouge to be. I really thought they'd have a lot more in store for Rouge when they announced it, I thought "oh ok maybe this is why they've always held out on good perks, they'll use them for Rouge" nope!

LiliV that's a good idea (Ipsy bag type rewards). You really should copy and paste your post in a quick feedback to Sephora.

Thanks! I really do like the 500 point perks they do I just wish that they weren't 500 points. Some of the 100s are nice too I just feel like for a new level of Beauty Insider they could step it up. I feel like regular VIB was always lacking as well

They sometimes have really nice VIB free perks with 35$ order though, like three deluxe samples for free :D I wish free shipping would be on 35$ orders instead of 50$ <.< They never sent me the 25$ flash shipping offer =/

YSL Touche Eclat vs Givenchy Mister Light vs Armani Master Corrector

I'd like to try one of these products, but the samples I get are never for beautiful chocolate women. Any feedback? Do you use these with or without concealer?

Along that line, has anybody else noticed the 'weekly specials' page that listed those is down? They probably don't want people ordering them with Black Friday sales.

FYI, if you log into airmiles in Canada and google Sephora, you can get airmiles. Last time I was there they had the weekly specials promos listed as well. Might be worth seeing if they still work for Black Friday.

I wonder what's going on, on Sephora website, lots of negative reviews keep getting Not helpful clicks <.<'

Negative reviews of what specifically? Some people can vote not helpful b/c they disagree or in my case, when the negative review doesn't really have any substance.
Mostly the reviews of the current LE holiday stuff. I guess you are right and they disagree with the negative review, because they think the stuff is awesome, but imo they are overdoing it, rating every negative review as unhelpful. I just find it weird that lately so many negative reviews are getting rated as unhelpful(not only the really no-substance ones), as if everyone who has different opinion is wrong. ^^;

Thanks to you both. I've been using the solid at work for my brushes and it works really well. I'm glad I never picked up the liquid. I don't use my BB much b/c I don't think it's amazing (takes too much work), but I've been trying to use it a bit more since I have two and can't return them. My skin is dry right now so I want to avoid my usual brush. I'm just not seeing what people find so great about this sponge. I've been trying it for my concealer, too, and it just doesn't do that great of a job. It seems like maybe I have to use more product to get the BB to work properly. I use so little w/ my brushes.
I agree. It's not that great. For concealer I use the Sephora pro airbrush concealer brush. Loooove that brush.

Yes the 57 brush gives me the airbrush look without all the fuss. Will be buying a second one soon.

I've never tried the Armani one but I have Touche Eclat in #6 and I love it! I use it alone and set with either banana powder or my Dior Sunset powder because it does crease a bit if not set. The formula is really lightweight and it has a sort of watery consistency. Touche Eclat isn't nearly as heavy or thick as say NARS creamy concealer. It's really similar to MAC's Prep+Prime highlighters actually if you've used them before. It covers my dark circles well but I don't need a lot of coverage honestly. I just love the way it instantly brightens my face without looking made up. I definitely recommend checking it out if you don't need a lot of coverage.

Thank you, Fancieland. What shade are you in foundation? I think I need the YSL in #5, but I'll have to check w/ Shontay. MAC Light Boost and Sephora Smoothing & Brightening concealer are also on my list. I wish I was near a MAC to try out theirs.
I tried the Givency Mister Macaroon sample today which is too light, but I could swear I have glitter under my eyes now. I thought I was crazy, but nope it's there. I hadn't put on my eye shadow yet. I think its light reflective technology is not my taste.

For the Touce Eclat? I'm number 4. Seems to have been discontinued, but before they discontinued it I found a product that left it in the dust. Bobbi Brown's eye brightener is my everything. Shade #9 dark peach.
