Lol, I agree with you. With some lipsticks there is just no middle ground. You either love it or hate it (as you can see with people's responses throughout this thread) and I think Nude and Exclusive Event are those types of lipsticks. They're certainly unique so I can see how someone would like them over more common colors. I would love to try more unique looking colors such as the ones you listed but I'm so afraid of how they'll look on me, lol. I've seen them look great on other people but I guess I'm to afraid to take that leap as I like to play it safe.

I used to be like that too,i pretty much only wore nude pinks like Angel,but then i join Specktra and now i wear Nude almost everyday

Trust me if you stay in this forum your lipstick collection will change drastically,both in size and color

I agree. Frosts just look ... dated.
I see they're trying to bring it back but I don't feel too receptive to it, personally.

And on the topic of frosts, I'm always amazed at the different levels of frostiness between MAC lipsticks. Case in point: Angel versus Fresh Moroccan.

I just saw it, lol! I'm so glad you did it. I was watching a video on youtube prior to my last post about the quotes in Mean Girls and I am ALWAYS up for a Mean Girls gif, lol. That thread needed it too, as a distraction to help lighten the mood. We should do that whenever a thread starts to go in a negative direction as a way to put a smile on people's faces, lol.

RiRi Nude actually turned a very unsexy gray on me & gave me zombie mouth. I will stick with Viva Glam 5 & Touch.

I so wanted Nude to work for me I kept trying but sadly it was poopy lips for me too.

Not a big fan of frost finishes either, however there was one red frost lipstick that I purchased back in the early 90's ( one of my first mac lippies) I believe it was called red fox? Not sure though, and it was beautiful! I loved that red! It's the only lipstick I've ever finished and I remember scraping it out of the tube. To this day, I still swear it's the only red that's ever really looked good on me. I'm hoping riri viva glam looks similar.

there is something about frost finishes that i definitely i do not like but the VG riri looks like a gorgeous color and it is for a good cause. Although in more inclined to purchase matte or retro mattes maybe they will make it matte. aA girl can dream lol

Don't be afraid of the frost!!!! MAC's been doing some amazing frosts this past year or so, that aren't dry, look really moist and make your lips look so full and shapely. I'm crazy about Warm Companion, By Design and all the vampy frosts from Nudes & Metallics. They're not your mom's frosts. (The only frost I thought was kind of hideous was You've Got It - that one was very dry and chalky looking…the old fashioned frost).
