I've been following that thread for quite a while as well as a few others in which a few people had reports of banning and at first I was pretty skeptical. I thought it seemed like maybe we weren't getting the whole story because surely Sephora wouldn't just ban their high spending Rouge customers without good reason right? But as more of these banning stories are coming out it honestly seems like they are doing just that.

At first I thought that maybe it was because of excessive use of promo codes, or too many returns, or lots of $1 purchases for samples or SOMETHING that would explain it. But some of the girls going through this didn't do any of those things...it's really bizarre and extremely disappointing.


It sounds like some of them ordered each of the black Friday specials separately because they were afraid they were going to sell out. I agree with the Beauty talk thread, I think some algorithm was set up that just isn't working when VIB's get free shipping, and since it is just some computer algorithm the help line has no idea what to do. Hopefully they get it sorted soon, no one should feel nervous abut spending money in a store, that is completely ridiculous.

In Canada, the free shipping is a huge perk for me. Now I will have to think twice about spending money online. And I am certainly not going to buy things I don't need to avoid setting off their sensors. Disappointing.

Seems it wont be just Tarte and UD doing special cyber monday sale ;) Will need to check other retailers if they also plan something for monday.

I received a $15 card, and called client services. They said they hade no knowledge of a $20 card. I am a Rouge. Thanks for the info
I'm not sure if this is true, but someone posted that on their fb page that you had to be VIB or Rouge by Oct. 1st to get the $20 card. So maybe that's why someone people received the $15 card vs the $20 card.

This is usually the case. There will be a lot of mad Rouges. I say the Rouges are speculating about the reason for the bannings bc no one from Sephora has told them the reason was shippng abuse. The algorithm theory is plausible, but I didnt see where a Sephora rep confirmed. Unless I missed it in my tiredness. Beauytalk probably isn't used by most customers so those girls need to take this to social media. Especially with threads and posts getting deleted. That's some bull if people are getting banned for using their only perk. I see the potential for sample abuse, Sephora needs to be clear with their customers about their expectations with this new program and they must tell people WHY they're being banned not just their generic response. I hope this gets sorted out. So the $20 deals must be in store only. I set up the signs but didn't see any of the products.

I have no idea what's up and I don't have the attention span right now to find out. I will say, being my usual greedy self that I want a $50 card. :D

I hope it's not email b/c I get zero Sephora marketing emails despite putting in a call to get it fixed. I made my guy run out in the cold to check the mail again today and zilch! No coupon for me.

Could be. Or it could be another case of the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, and there may be no Monday specials either. Time will tell.

From what I have heard of people going in store, they are pushing the same 20$ deals that already existed (e.g. Stilla palettes).

Everyones going nuts about the 20$ deals thing on the Sephora facebook page, lol. I think there was just a lot of anticipation about what the 20$ items would be, which is why everyone's getting so heated. I'm just grateful I didn't bother going instore.

Say what?!? I didn't get anything via snail mail OR email yet about this! And if it's starting Dec. 4th, that means there are only 2 mail days left before the coupon is good. I certainly hope I get it before then!!

They send the gift cards by both mail and email, email is usually a day before or same day as the promo start, but last year some got theirs after the promo started by email/mail.

I always get the promo email the day before the event starts and never anything in snail mail. I am assuming that this time will be the same. I am not happy, however, that Rouge is only getting $20.

Nothing yet... I checked the mail today, but I only checked for a package I'm looking for from ASOS, and when I didn't see a gray bag in the mailbox I closed it and didn't look at anything else. There was other mail in there tho. I'll check tomorrow.

Oh, and I can't find the post of the person who asked me what I got from NARS with the 20% off F&F, but I got Ride Up To The Moon (Give me ALL the green eye shadows!) and The Killing Me Softly blush palette.

I think they will be all until supplies last. Today's mini fragrance is Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Arancia Di Capri and deluxe sample is Fresh Soy Face Exfoliant =)


And Julep started their Cyber Monday sale which seems better than the Black Friday sale D: I shouldn't have ordered the polish for 8$ if it now dropped to 3$ sigh o well
