RiRi Hearts MAC Holiday Collection (December 12, 2013)

So I just called a macys counter and was told they aren't releasing it on the 12, that it's just mac stores?

Maybe your counter don't know, because I pre sale a wk ago at my macys counter and was told I could pick up the 12 when the collection is released

I decided to call and complain about this, found out there was 75 PB for Canada from the phone sales girl. then I talked to some guy at a different extension(who could not speak clearly at all. arg.) Basically told him that stuff selling out that fast was ridiculous and basically asked if they did it on purpose to say they sold out in x number of minutes and that it makes people not want to deal with them at all. Then I brought up the arbitrage it causes(the demand exceeds the amount supplied and allows people to sell for massively inflated prices on ebay, much like ticket scalping). He told me I could go to a department store. I told him so I have to go an hour or so before they open to get one of the 3 they might have for sale.

good luck! Sometimes talking to people is infuriating... more infuriating than that waiting room.

That is appalling that they only allotted 75 lipsticks online for the entire country. WTH are they thinking? Do they need to hire on more lipstick cooks? Hell, I'll go down the road for a part-time contract gig if that is what they need for people to get their hands on what they want.
That being said, I have noticed that my local Mac counter which is in a Bay dept store always seems to get a decent amount of each item (at least 20 for the lipsticks) for the LE collections, so I hope the poor online planning is because a lot of stock will hit counters throughout Canada.

nope...there is no que. It's just the luck of the draw on when your device refreshes and if there is capacity to get you in there. It absolutely does not go in some type of order like we all thought it would. They just like to make it seem like it does.

btw MAC barely texts me now telling me the collection is up. smh. stop it MAC, just take a seat please.

I know i was confirming my order at 12:09. And got a email at 12:12 with an order number with no items

I belive its actually 1 per order placed but you may do up to 3 or 4 ordersand thats what ppl manage to do i just go for 1 usually thats all i need unless im getting for other ppl

backups? I thought it was one per email as the reps always say. They will b sick if they get a cancel notice

I got an email about the collection 5 minutes after I received my order confirmation. I won't be depending on them to keep me updated in time for collections in the future (not that I ever did before, lol).

Lmao this collection gets released in stores the same day as my birthday. I'll see if I can get Pleasurebomb in one of the MAC stores. But damn, everything sold out online again in the span of minutes?! Not cool!

The collection was sold in Selfridges here in the UK!! Unfortunately, everything except the make up bag and Riri Woo went out of stock straight away!
