MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

I thought I was the only one! Sometimes I think purple LS looks great on me & then I think they look horrible. So I rarely wear them, which is a shame b/c I wanted Spitfire for soooo long, finally got it, loved it the 1st few try ons & then it just didn't look good. For me, I think less is more when wearing such a statement lipcolor (ie- PC, HC, Instigator). I'm going to see if I feel better in these colors if the rest of my face is played down. Part of it could be that I just don't look like myself lately, I look bad b/c there is too much going on, I'm not sleeping & all those things take a toll on the body. I'm not happy about it. I started balling while returning something at the store today I could even make eye contact b/c I thought it would all start coming out & not stop. I promptly left & cried in my car until I got it down to a slow weepy stage & proceeded to scare many more people with my puffy eyes & un straighted hair all throughout town. Ugh. I don't have a choice with the holidays crawling up my a55.

This time of year is so rough for so many. Hang in there.

Awwww honey! Been there, done that. I'm so sorry you're feeling so blah lately. I hope things get better for you.

In the meantime, don't force the purple. LOL! If it's not for you, it's not for you. A more neutral face definitely does help purple lippies look better though. I am probably skipping PC as well because I'm not really a purple lip person myself. I am only NOW just getting Heroine, I skipped it previously because I wasn't sure how it would look on me.

My stalking was a complete fail last night. I ended up falling asleep but I kept dreaming that PC launched. I guess that was the trigger for me to wake up because it helped since I proceeded to then check my email and then check MAC's website on my phone. Cuckoo for (Punk) Coutoure.

I expressed my dislike of Violetta in myself last night & I already said this so I apologize to anyone who has read this. I have all the recent purples that MAC has released. Granted I've yet to wear Strong Woman or Seductive Intent & I hate, repeat hate the way Private Party looks on me. Don't get me weong, i looove bold lips & i get that i can't over do my other features if I'm going to sport a purple lippie. However, I find purple very hard to pull off. I want PC because it could be 'the one'...Initially I loved Heroine & Spitfire but then I wore them & just no. I'm NC20, does anyone else in this range have the same feelings towards purples? If so, what purples work best for you? Thank you in advance.

I second this. I have Lavender Voltage ( 2 actually!) And it reminds me so much of PC. I'm torn.

YUP! I got home from work and checked, and then just racked. Woke up once around 0900 and checked again, and am just now getting up.

I second this. I have Lavender Voltage ( 2 actually!) And it reminds me so much of PC. I'm torn.

They look similar in the tube, but not on my face (NC50/C8 for reference). The blue/purple duochrome is very apparent in Lavender Voltage, whereas PC is a very blue purple, and the color is even. And the finish is obviusly different. Also, the MAC lipstick does not have that irritating Maybelline scent and a much better wear time. I have to re-apply LV too often.

I really want Instigator! That is the stand out lippie for me! I think that I am going to skip on SK since i have FOD but PC looks tempting.. I want to save some $$$ for the Magnetic Nude collection as well. XMas shopping has really put a hole in my wallet.
