Hi Everyone! I'm really shy, so it took forever for me to decide to make my first post. I've been super excited about this collection since I'm a rocker girl at heart, but still getting comfortable with rocking the super dark lips. These are some swatches I did today trying to compare PC with the rest of my purpleish stash. I'm somewhere slightly lighter than NC15 for reference. From left to right: Revlon - Shameless, Rockstar A  - Rebellious, Maybelline - Brazen Berry, Cover Girl - Divine, PC, Maybelline - Lavender Voltage, Rockstar A - Purple Haze, Heroine If you're fair skinned, PC might not be as bright as you think it will be. Hope that helps!
Hey welcome. What brand is the purple haze lippie?

Purple lips are just not for everyone, even redder purple like Instigator. They really need the right kind of hair and clothing to make them really work all the way, even if the actual color is flattering. No one should feel like they've got to snatch up these lippies just because everyone is crowing over them. If you're not going to wear it out of the house, what's the point of wasting good money? They'll be plenty of other awesome collections that will fit not only your complexion but your whole lifestyle! Totally not worth the stress unless you know you are in love and ready to work it hard. These lipsticks aren't even Team Purple. They are House of Purple, so be prepared.

thats why I'm only going for Instigator and SK even tho I know everyone is loving PC :)

Thank you so much ladies!!! The colour just blew me away. Don't skip on this one - this is the purple I been waiting on!
You are absolutely stunning! MAC should use you in their ad campaign as well. Just your image alone could blow their sales of that lipstick through the roof .... so high, that even good old Estee Lauder would be shocked.! :)

Have we seen a swatch of Strong Woman versus Instigator yet? I looked through the image gallery and didn't see one, so forgive me if I missed it! I would imagine Strong Woman is not as deep a color as Instigator (haha I accidentally typed "instihator" first...I think I'm gonna coin the term "insta-hater" lol), but I would love to see them side by side to compare!! TIA

Im nc 35 and seriously PC looks nice on me. look my pic here with natural makeup doesnt look bad. on my pic i wear a beige jacket
I saw PC on an MA who was your skin tone. It looked less bluish on her and just darker and vampier. We all thought it looked really awesome, but yeah, it's definitely a going out and/or weekend color, unless you are a 24-7 diva. The main thing is, if you feel comfortable with it, then wear it! If you don't feel like it's "you", but you're feeling like you don't want to miss out on it, even though deep down you know you won't wear it, THAT'S when it's time to reconsider. Best thing would be to go to a store and try it and if you happen to miss out, you sort of knew it wasn't meant to be. Personally, I think most of the gals in this thread are ready, willing and able to rock PC, but there were a couple of folks who were feeling worried about if it was right for them and you know what…..it is not worth worrying over! If you take it for granted that you love it and want to wear it, that's what will make the inevitable difficulty hunting a tube of it down worth all the work!

I'll probably go in store to try these out just to be sure.

Just thought I'd chime in. I'm also NC30 but our skintones look nothing alike (judging by your avatar). I know that Punk Couture will look off on me, on you I think it's could probably still work. But I'm an advocate of low-buy, so I think you should only get it if you are sure you're going to wear it often. No point getting caught up in a hype and precipitating into your purchase if you're only going to wear it for the first two weekends and then shy away from it.

Thanks for your input. I'm not afraid to rock a bold lip. Just want to make sure that it would look good on my skin tone and I'd like to see it in person. Knowing me I'll order it online anyway just in case. Lol most of my lippies I've bought without trying them on. I'm usually good at knowing what works for me and what doesn't.

I think that's the beauty about retail in the US, the return policies are a lot kinder! I rarely order makeup sight unseen unless I'm dead sure (and being a Libra, that doesn't happen often haha). Except for Jennifae's photos on here, they've inspired me to take a leap of faith. *major hint @jennifae for more FOTDs* That said, I do feel that it's sad how we can't take our own sweet time to discover new collections anymore and we need to stalk and snap up items now in case they get sold out. I remember how LE products would still be sitting around 3 weeks after launch and nobody would look twice walking past it. I actually even managed to buy 3 Port Reds from Naughty Nauticals in like November 2008 when it was released in May.

I'm still deciding whether to just order the ones I want online or just go to the store when they release so I can swatch them lol...the nearest retailer for me is Macy's and they open at 6am on the 26th lol...does anyone have a swatch comparison with Studded Kiss and Heaux? (If there is already one, I apologize in advance for my repetition lol...there are just so many pages in this thread to look back :/ )

I believe someone did post a comparison. No need to search thru all the pages. Just look thru the image gallery.
