MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

So excited I woke up and went to Saks this morning just to see if they had a few in stores and I was able to get 3 out of the 4 ..... Missed out on the Hautecore but not sure if I really cared about getting a black lip .... Started to only get 2 but I tried on the SK and the a few ladies shopping in the store fell in love with it on me and told me I would regret not getting it ..... Also I picked up a piece from the nude collection

I had talked myself out of getting a PC back-up when it still hadn't launched at 3... got up yesterday at 9 to head out of town and it had JUST launched. I was supposed to have got up at 8 but I got up an hour later... decided it was fate and bought it. Despite the fact that it is just my BU, I am so excited for it to get here.

I went to the MAC counter today to return something and was able to try on the lipsticks from the collection. I'm inloveeeeee with Instigator! I actually ended up buying a backup. Funny enough, while I was trying on the lipsticks, I got a shipping confirmation from MAC that my other lippies had been shipped. Lol. I'm definitely excited that I was able to get everything that I wanted.

On another note - are any of you ladies feeling better? I know A TON of us were sick the other night when we were stalking the site for the collection to come up. I made an emergency appointment to go to the doctor yesterday and come to find out, I have a really bad sinus infection. Thankfully, I got put on some anitibiotics and I feel MUCH BETTER today! I hope everyone else is doing okay!

I went to the MAC counter today to return something and was able to try on the lipsticks from the collection. I'm inloveeeeee with Instigator! I actually ended up buying a backup. Funny enough, while I was trying on the lipsticks, I got a shipping confirmation from MAC that my other lippies had been shipped. Lol. That's PC on the lips, no liner. I've got the pale color from the plum & pink MES from Divine Night on the lids over Dangerous Cuvee pp and the mid tone mauve shade from the Temperature Rising quad in the crease. Wholesome f/l. Just a touch of At Dusk on the cheeks.

I need to really catch up in this thread. LOL!

I finally got my lipsticks yesterday! So far I have only tried on Instigator and Studded Kiss. Will save Hautecore for over the weekend. I need to practice with that one to make sure I get it right for NYE.

Okay, Instigator is really really pretty. I LOVE it!! It was actually a bit darker on my lips than I expected even paired with Nightmoth. I only line my lips with my lip liners but if I can't get full opaqueness with Hautecore then that will be the first and only time I fill my lips in with liner. Since my package was a day late, I wore Chanel's La Provocante on Christmas. Instigator is similar but it is a hair darker and a hair less red/more purple.

I just put on Studded Kiss and lined my lips with Currant. SK is nice. I am not overly blown away by it. It is a bid subdued, not as vivid as I might have wished it to be, but it isn't too warm or brown for my liking. The vividness of Just a Bite has it beat in that comparison. But it is a color that will probably grow on me more. I can picture wearing SK with a deep green top.

I'd love to learn how you do your liner too. Liner is one of the last things that I do and I'm usually rushing. My liner always looks crazy. Always. Lol.

Absolutely! You need a liner, a brush to line, a flat-edge brush to clean up with (i use the 212), and either a concealer/foundation or something like fast response (which is what i use), depending on the order you do your makeup and what face products you use. If you wear liquid foundation, you can use that. If you wear powder like i do, use fast response or mac matte. I'll try and do a pictorial within the next few nights for ya! :wink:

My MAC @ Macy's still had Hautecore & i managed to grab the last Instigator. Hautecore looked sooooo weird on me. . .is it bad to get stuff just because? Lol

I wish you had been there to help me drink it! My date was being sort of a fuddy duddy about finishing the bottle up - on Xmas no less?? I'm a big fan of small Italian wineries and this was the good stuff from my personal collection. I think you'll like the label:
