Well after what feels like an ETERNITY, I should be getting my PC & Instigator today! I cannot wait to get off from work and just hold them and stare at them for ridiculous amounts of time before putting them on. Is it just me, or does anyone else's heart break a little every time you put a brand new lipstick on? It's like "No, now it doesn't look perfect anymore!" lol
I feel the same way. You want it to stay perfect and wear it at the same time.

I'm finding Instigator kind of patchy on me, even with P&P. I need a heavy application for it to be even and I'd like to be able to apply it more lightly as well since it's dark. Is anyone else having trouble with it? I'll need to play with it some more to decide if it's a deal breaker for me or not. I don't generally have problems with lippies and my lips are not dry.

What I do like is a thin coat of Caliente over Instigator; it's enough to even out the colour and isn't quite as sparkly as a full freight application of Caliente on its own.

*raises hand* I'm janineish on IG. Yes, I sold my Riri backups. No, I didn't find them easily. I drove to 3 different locations in San Diego and the last pair I purchased from a macys out of state and paid shipping for, after calling over 30 mac locations to try to find them. So you may look at me like I'm one of those "evilbayers" but if you look at the Riri thread I was also actively trying to help others find the lipsticks as well, letting everyone know what stores still had them and personally helping many find their items through pm's. I love Specktra and I always try to help here as much as possible.
You don't have to defend your hustle imo. I Capitalism. God bless America! !! If I needed a backup I have no problem paying someone for their work cuz we all know there was a real blood bath trying to get those lipsticks.

LOL. I always think it's funny to hear people rant about 'evilbayers' and then see our own members selling above retail right here in the Clearance Bin (and likely elsewhere). And that would be different how, exactly?

Before anyone accuses me of picking on our members, I don't have a problem with people reselling goods they acquired legally at full price for a higher price. We all know that it takes work to get MAC LE products and I just can't see there being that much of a profit in it. I've bought one product off eBay and I bought it for less than a dollar above retail. Yes, there are crazy ask prices, but that doesn't mean that people are actually selling them at that price point. And if they are, so what? There's obviously a market of people willing to pay ridiculous mark ups for an item. I'm not one of them, but it's their money.

I think the potential for abuse is higher with Pro members who place multiple orders of 4 items at 40% and then resell above retail. While I'm sorry for the majority of MAC Pro users who were doing nothing wrong and no longer get to order products early, as a consumer I'm happy about that development. At least that leaves reasonable quantities for the rest of us to have a shot at buying. We've all seen the flagrant e-Bay listings that even include invoices showing that the goods were purchased at Pro pricing; I think that's the larger problem and it appears that MAC is trying to take steps against those practices. That population is actually breaking the rules; those who buy at retail and hope to sell at a profit are not.

Thank you ladies for all your offers and so sorry it took me so long to reply. My boss came in while I was at work and wanted to sit around talking for over an hour and I didn't get a chance to get on once I got home. Anyway, an Instigator was found! I had been ranting about it to my friend who lives in seattle said he called some stores, found one, bought it and will send it to me!!!
Ok if you have a pay pal I can work on getting a instigator for you. I can check the saks here in Houston if you haven't found it. I believe the mac store here in the galleria had it too.  let me know Ill probably go tomorrow to see if I can score a bu for SK and Heroine
I have a back up of everything that I don't need but I stay in killeen
I went to the Saks and was able to find all of them except HC. I guess no one here goes to the mac counter in Saks. I can see if the one I went to have it what colors were you looking for?  I didn't even call I just went up there good luck
It's a long shot, but I'm heading back to my MAC tonight so I'll see if they have any Instigator left. Edit: Well nevermind, looks like Melrose has some extras!

They're not dry and I use P&P under lip products 100% of the time; I don't think that's the problem It's weird. I'll definitely play with it more; I really like the colour, I just want to be able to wear it more lightly at least some of the time.

It's true, i do some members selling for almost twice as much, I do realize that waking up early, getting up to go out, driving, maybe they getting back their stress. i don't know.

I see quite a few members selling backups at cost in the clearance bin, and even when the prices are higher than cost they are not as ridiculous as eBay or resellers. What bothers me is when resellers or whatever you'd like to call them buy up large amounts of stock of LE items creating more scarcity. Purchasing large amounts in the hopes of forcing buyers to purchase from them for their profit, then selling at double or triple the cost of the original item. Yes it's business but does that make it right? I personally don't agree with it and chose to not purchase from resellers. The ladies here want to help fellow makeup enthusiast get their hands on items not resellers.

Have u tried filling in your whole lip with nightmoth and then topping it off with instigator after prep and prime? That's what I do....with a light hand

I tried doing the same thing with Currant (I don't have Nightmoth), but that doesn't fully fix the problem. I played with Instigator awhile this morning, and it's going back. Maybe I got a bad batch or something, because the one I swatched on my hand at the store wasn't like this in the least.

Even with P&P, the application is patchy. That isn't true of any other lipstick I own. This is about as friendly as my palette Cyber, meaning not at all. If I apply it more heavily, it's still not even. I don't mind using P&P and liner to make a lippy work; I do that anyway. But when it settles into lines I don't normally see even over primer it's going back. I wouldn't even sell this to anyone. It's a dud.

Studded Kiss, on the other hand, applies divinely.
