Those lipsticks are really dark on me as well. Completely different from arm swatches!

Try NYX Castle or Chinchilla from Lime Crime. Castle is only $3 and rocks with PC and HC.

I know right!! i expected them to be closer to the swatch and not that much darker. il keep the one and just mix to make it more wearable and magenta based because they were pretty that way, but still sad about it. especially with how they apply. im thinking about getting mac nikki2, or a limecrime lippie to add to the center- either d'lillac or airborne unicorn
I think Punk Couture will be really pretty with VGN2 and similar colors. I wonder how Instigator would look with a brighter lippie in the center.

Sweet! Which one do you like better?

The collection's not being released here at all? Bastards! They did the same with last year's pressed piggies.

Thanks! I think I like Punk Couture the best, but it's a tough choice.
No I called the pro store and they told me so:( If the pressed pigments from last year were released here I might have gotten some, but fail Mac and you didn't get my money.
I'm so glad you got Punk Couture as well! Picture please

Ow and can I just complain about Mac not releasing this collection in the Netherlands. Why Mac? You're so stupid sometimes! I assumed this would be available exclusively online or in the pro store, since that was the case with Strength and Iris Apfel, so I asked my regular cp girl months ago if she could help me out again and luckily she could! When I found out this wouldn't come here at all the collection was already released in the US and sold out. I didn't ask for BUs figuring I could get them here, but then I had to find an alternative. I got my BUs on ebay, but luckily for a reasonable price (compared to dutch pricing).
Hear hear! FU MAC. :finger: I did the exact same thing and my babies are on their way thanks to a wonderful Specktrette. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on them (and other things :D). PC and Instigator both look great on you!

I think at some point i might order the lime crime ones, not sure if the nikki one will work on my skintone or if its too light to be mixed. But i prefer a discount on the lime crime like the blk fri deal lol. of course its just easier to order the VGN2 when mac has a free snh coupon. I think i might also try maybelline pink pop in the meantime. :)

Just got my pc n Instigator. I'm having the issues some others are having. They apply so patchy and cling to every little flaw on my lips. I even used a lip brush, exfolated, and used prep n prime. The colors just dont spread evenly. And they are super dark, almost black. But I should have figured they would be extra extra dark then it is on most since I'm super pale. I just need to experiment with them some more. Hope I can get them to work.
My guess is that you're probably over applying a bit, based on what you're saying about them being so dark (as well as patchy). The color on these doesn't get super dark unless you're putting a lot on. I wouldn't use a lip brush except to touch up the edges - I find using a brush with these causes drags and patches, even if you're trying to be careful.

Just do a light layer on the lower lip first. Don't worry if it's patchy. Then do the upper lip with a normal layer and a light hand, going deep into the underside of the lip. By the time you're done with that, the lower lip will be set up, so do another layer on top to smooth it all out well but don't worry if some spots seem a little uneven. What happens is in a minute or so, after it fuses with your skin from the heat of your body, it will automatically smooth out some more.

Don't do the lip smoosh to blend with these and wait a good while before blotting too. Dark colors take longer to dry and set up on the lips just in general, although these are SO much better than most dark purple lipsticks.

when the riri lipstick launched my order was messed up. I got the run around of it being sold out etc. After a complaint and review a lipstick mysteriously was shipped to me along with a apology email. File a complaint with ups as well
I didn't receive an email or call back from a supervisor at MAC, but yesterday I received a shipping notice from UPS and today a new package was delivered. UPS opened an investigation to determine what happened to the first package and how MAC managed to procure replacements for all four of the sold out lipsticks is also a mystery. I am so stoked to own them and can't wait to start playing once I warm up from being outside in the cold!

They are up for pre-order again on Nordstrom so that might have something to do with it.

I got Instigator, Punk Couture and Studded Kiss lipsticks yesterday. I haven't opened them yet and will do that tonight.

Bloomingdale had stupid slow shipping so mine just got here too. I want to play but one my lips are toasty dry from this polar vortex deep freeze crap and constantly running the heater and two I am not sure any of these colors would fly at work tomorrow. So I'll probably try my huggable first. I am curious to see what you think of these though.
