Tom Ford Beauty Discussion

To me it leans more peach than pink. Reminds me of Chanel chintz. It is lighter than pink dusk.
Yep, same here. Sabrina did a nice review of it if you haven't already seen it:

These lip color/conditioner from Tom Ford seem similar to the Armani Rouge Ecstasy range, but with an edited shade selection (which I appreciate) so I ordered Pink Dune, Paradiso and Sweet Spot.

Was about to order Incandescent & Sand Dune nail varnish,
but can there be much difference between a $32 and $8 bottle of polish, besides the packaging?
Can anyone speak to this?
I've been kinda simultaneously working on both reviews for the lip conditioners and the polishes. I will (finally) have my lip post up shortly though. But as far as the polishes go, I've tried them all, though I have to reswatch Sand Dune, because it just did not go on well the first time. I found Sand Dune and Coral Beach to be pretty sheer. Indiscretion was somewhat sheer, but not as much so. Incandescent was the only one that was really opaque. It's also the only one that's really unique--I don't eve have a close dupe for it. I have polishes similar to Coral Beach, but nothing exact. For Indiscretion and Sand Dune, I have a few dupes that are really quite close.

I don't have as many as many of his polishes as Sara does, so I can't really speak about the formula, but it seemed a bit varied. Like Sand Dune was very thin and harder to control than say Incandescent (the real standout to me). It's not the best formula that I've ever tried (YSL, Armani, RBL, Chanel), but it's not the worst either. It seemed to dry very quickly. About an hour after I applied it, I could go wash my face and it didn't affect it at all. Which surprised me, because with some brands (i.e. RBL) I usually have to be pretty careful. If you get any, I might just get Incandescent. The others are pretty dupable, but that one is really exceptional.

After reading this, I went and put on Pink in Confidence. I prefer the texture of the Tom Ford, the YSL has much more slip to it and I can't stand the smell of the YSL (that really fake fruity smell) Summer fling is warmer in tone. And now I've probably convinced myself that I need it!

Beautiful photos Jenny! You finally made me cave for Summer Fling. Looking forward to the nails too.
Thank you so much Gail! I love them all, well except for In The Buff--it kinda washes me out. It's really hard to pick a favorite. My husband likes Summer Fling on me the best--so I think you'll be glad you picked that one up, because I think we have similar skin tones.

I like Sweet Spot. I hope my counter gets these, I will certainly check them out. Could me be first TF product!
