This thread totally sold me on the Koh Gen Do Spa water - I hope it lives up considering how pricey the bottle is! I had to pay duty on top of that as well :\

It seems that select items are duty-free...I tried doing a mock check out with a couple of UD stuff, and it didn't charge me duties *fingers crossed that it won't - I'm waiting until Chic Week to actually order* The Koh Gen Do water, Hourglass, and Clinique blushes (cheek pops) had duties charged on those items :(

I complained about something else to them via Facebook message and all they said was thanks for the feedback. They did nothing to help make me feel better about the situation. Not the best customer service in my opinion.... But maybe if I made it public on their wall things would have been different.
I don't really expect them to give everyone the Marc Jacobs palette and lipgloss, but maybe they'll realize Rouge members talk to each other for future reference. I'm sorry your complaint wasn't addressed. I do wonder if you get a better response if you post on their wall since everyone can see it.

Ha - I definitely wasn't asking for a Marc Jacobs Palette or Lip Gloss... I was simply complaining about being mis-guided about a 500-point event, and I felt I really shouldnt have had to give up 500-points for the event.... they didnt seem to care though and took my 500 points anyways.

lol sorry those were separate paragraphs. I said maybe sephora will realize rouges talk to each other sorry your complaint didn't get answered. So yeah, I know you're not asking for the palette/gloss. I think it's a bit difficult for sephora to give you points back for those since everyone else at the event paid(?) the points as well? What was the event? I've never been at an event they asked for points.

There was recently an NYC-area Bumble & Bumble event which "cost" 500 points. However, when you got there, in order to get the goodie bag which was really the perk of going to the event, you were required to make an appointment at the salon and actually spend money.

Hey ladies! I just called one of my local Sephora stores to inquire about any VIBR events and was allowed to sign up for a closed store event on March 30, 9:00 am-11:00am. I think there was some discussion on the thread that you couldn't sign up for the event unless you were sent an email about it (or something like that). I said all that to say that you may want to call your store to ask about it. Just FYI.

Sephora would probably have deleted your post on their wall. I've read on numerous occasions that they'll delete negative reviews on their website.

As for the Marc Jacobs gifts, it sounds like this was for a special event celebrating the launch of the line at Sephora last June - can't recall if it required an amount redeemable in product. That could be incorrect, though.

I live very near San Francisco and didn't know about this event, kind of a bummer, I wish they would promote them to everyone, not just people they think might come because they live directly in the city.

So the VIB Rouge March 30th event seems like a private shopping event for VIB Rouge. I called my local Toronto store and they confirmed the following:
- Rouge gets a goodie bag
- Can bring an extra guest who doesn't have to be VIB/BI
- Will receive 15% off for Chic Week - 2 days in advance, and 1 day in advance for VIB
- Limited space; need to reserve via the online system

I was told lots of details are still being worked out, so it's all about piecing together the information :p

So is this at every Sephora store or only select ones?

Also - which Toronto store did you call? I was just telling some ladies about this and one was from Toronto and asked.

That's ridiculous! I would've wanted my 500 points back too. They should have definitely made that clear beforehand.

Yeah I'm pretty annoyed - especially since I'm rouge and spend way too much money with them... but it seems like there is nothing i can do about it :-(

Not sure if I want Radiant Orchid. Im trying to cut my lippy spending. Is it pretty dupable?
Yes
Temptalia suggested UD Anarchy and find that's too pink. I swatched it yesterday and while I liked the finish and the color and the texture, I couldn't help feeling like I already have this color. You're a lipstick junkie from what I can tell here, I'm sure you do too.
