I agree. The colors accurately reflect Angelina Jolie's actual makeup in the movie. Still, it wouldn't have killed them to toss in more lip colors, blushes, and eyeshadows. For example, this poster shows Angelina Jolie with what seems like purple eyeshadow? They could've added some green and purple eyeshadows... a purplish blush... a purple lipstick... 1 or 2 more sculpting powders (to suit more skintones). They would all fit Maleficent perfectly.

Agreed it is a complete accurate portrayal of the colors featured in the movie to recreate a maleficent look. However seeing as this movie is very much highly anticipated at the moment, a blush and a few more lipsticks would have been nice.

I was thinking, the initial pressrelease stated 11 items but now there is 14... Just an observation.

i would buy the quad BUT i own goldmine and ground brown. i wish they made similiar colors that were limited edition is all. i want concrete and have never had carbon but all i hear about carbon is how it sucks

I keep coming back to this thread in the hopes that there will be a whole other bit of pictures with an actually fun and beautiful collection with a big red "SIKE" stamped over the pics we got the other day. lol

The color story may be accurate to the movie, it's just such a let down cause they really could have done more with it.
And I still dislike the packaging. I would've rather to have the horns or a dragon than the wings. It's just less iconic.

What was I expecting? Hmm....well for MAC to actually put thought into something maybe. I'm sorry but just because these items fit one image in the film doesn't mean they did a good job or it matches the theme...you can pick a page out of a 400 page book but you aren't going to get a full idea of the story from it. There's other images and themes in the film that could have been drawn upon to make it more creative. And one sculpt powder, that is not going to fit a wide range of people, same with the beauty powder. And they could have done a quad featuring purples and greens, and another darker toned lipstick. And the graphics on the packaging...just look kind of meh, not iconic at all. I just think MAC took the easy way out. Here throw them a red lipstick in special packaging, they'll buy it. No.

Someone else said that her magic gives off the green color, they could have took some inspiration from that. Or in one of the pics for the movie her collar has a purple and burgundy brocade, so threes another case for purple!!! AND OK so the quad has the colors she has on in the movie. Couldn't they have taken some non perm shades for it? at least two? and i would buy the sculpt powder and beauty powder even tho the packaging isn't what i expected, but i cant wear those colors. I'm too dark. they would look ashy on me. so then whats left, red lip stuff. i don't wear reds like that these days. so I'm not sure what is left for me that i can use. i have TWO of the FOUR eye shadows. one i want, concrete, i don't want carbon particularly, so the quad isnt really worth it if i only want one color.

Look at this... and then look at what they're trying to give us now. smh! They literally just slapped the movie logo on the package and called it a day. What do they care, it'll still sell out anyway right? Well, at least it'll be super easy for the Chinese eBay counterfeiters to replicate... I'm sure the quality will be similar too.
