MAC Items Being Discontinued in 2014

my only beef with the current MSF packaging is I get scared with my kit they are not protected well enough!
I find I keep my msf's in the boxes as they will either shatter or the lid will pop out...

VERY good point! All the more reason for me to BU now while I can! I already snagged 2 in my last order. If my shade is still around with my next order, I'm definitely getting 2-3 more! It's not like there's any chance I won't use them!

The thing that worries me, is when they take stuff away and bring it back there are sometimes reformulations and things too. 1 ingredient gets too expensive so they replace it with something else. So it sometimes isn't even the same product! That has me really worried as well. "Repackaging" might be the reason they're stating, but I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to stick us with a reformulation as well. You can't trust MAC... Just can't trust 'em!

Right, lol. but I am interested in the new packaging. I hope it isn't smaller, but same or higher price.

That's actually a good idea lol. I got through Msfn as well, since I don't wear foundation this is a staple. I already have a backup, but another can't hurt. I'm def more curious now lol. Oh, I need to join the low buy!

Super slick liner is now only black and brown

I just tried Plush Lash for the first time today at my counter (been with MAC about 3 months) and fell in love with it. Went on MAC and noticed it was gone I'm so sad. I guess I'll be buying it at my counter then. I really like it. As far as the MSFN I'm guessing they're going to repackage it similar to the Mineralize shadow quads that came out recently.

Also gone/going: Soft and gentle MSF Super slick liner is now only black and brown Yes I was so sad to see plushlash gone...but I was thinking the same thing about the mineralize! I hope it's not true though. I always liked the fact that you can see what color you're grabbing without opening the compact. I do see why they'd want to fix the issue of the plastic unsnapping and falling onto the powder though. Other than that, I don't see how much improvement can be done.

If you have a free standing pro store near you, it is still being sold in house. The same for a lot of the pro eyeshadow singles. There are A TON of products that are not on the MAC site that can be found in a pro store still. I'm super disappointed in that!

You are very very welcome! I know what it's like to want something that I thought I would be able to get on the site, and all of a sudden it's not there. If you call customer service through the site, I believe they can do a search through the whole backlog database and find a location to ship it to you from. That way you don't have to drive anywhere = )

So, on that note, if anyone reads this....I've been on some blog/review sites lately where the admin(s) have told their readers certain products are not available, discontinued, can't find it no matter what - yada yada - and they are blatantly WRONG! The internet site isn't the sole reflection of product availability. If a website does not have a product listed, but they have a customer service contact number or email, try that, too. You never ever know what you are missing out on by just searching the site alone, much less listening to what some of these bloggers have to say. Ok - off my soap box now - LOL.

Usually when a brand is repackaging a product it means they're reducing the amount of product and making it more expensive that way. I wouldn't be surprised if the new one contains less product than the current one.
