Ahh, I feel bad for you. Its so disappointing to know that you can finally get a discount, then you cannot get the item. I don't live close to a Sephora either. Seems like very poor planning on Sephora's part. Even when I do travel a ways to get to a Sephora, they are always out of what I want too. You're right, they should stock up for the sale.
I'm going to Sephora on Friday so hopefully they'll have it in stock. If not I'm sure I'll find something else to buy lol.

Oh my gosh you are in for it lady! They have some very nice deals. Shipping is a pain, but I guess everything can't be unicorns and leprechauns.

I've never actually pulled the trigger on anything I've seen on hautelook but I came so close last week. I can't remember clearly, but what I do remember is that there was a bag that I had wanted before and it was like $200 instead of over $500. I was like  I resisted, though. :haha:

I may or may not have a YSL Rouge Volupte Rose Culte in my basket. Tempting me to hit the checkout button lol.

I already placed my order on Saturday morning but I'm still lusting after the Marc Jacobs Face II brush and Nars Pressed setting powder.... it never ends

Also, really sad about the ABH Pomade being out of stock this entire time :(

Dude, I live in NYC and I've visited at least 6 Sephoras, none of which had a good Promade stock. 1 or 2 stores had only Blonde or Ebony, but I wanted Dark Brown. I swear every Promade area was wiped out clean... I even visited the Queens Center Sephora the day after it newly opened and there STILL wasn't any Promade.

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies! My plan for any out of stock items is to just buy whatever colour they do have and do an exchange at a later date when the shade becomes available. That way you still get your discount! For the Canadians, if you live close enough to the border to justify day trips, look into Kinek. It's basically a pay-per-use mailbox, so instead of paying whatever monthly fees you would usually have, they charge a $5 flat rate per package. That way you don't have to rack up a higher total in order to qualify for cross-border shipping, and you usually don't have to pay duty either. I find most times, as long as your purchases are reasonable, border patrol will just wave you through. There is still the issue of exchange rates racking up the price, but it is sometimes the lesser evil, especially if you are already planning a day trip. I find that between Sephora for me, Nike for my boyfriend, and ToysRUs for our daughter, we save more than enough to justify the cost of gas/food/etc a day trip to the States costs.

How do you use the TFGG, Pixie? Do you apply it to the lid and then pat on the pigment, or do you do a mix and apply that to the lid?

I've gone back and forth on this palette and came close to buying it a couple months back. They are very nice shades but I suggest you swatch them first if you haven't already done so. I counted the shades that were must-haves for me and it was less than half so that made the decision for me and I didn't get it.
I apply all my base shadows as normal. Then, I put just a dab of TFGG on my fingertip and dab it onto my lid. It will get a little tacky as you apply it. Then I take my Pressed Pigment (or normal pigment or glitter) and get it on a brush and press that into the TFGG on my lid. No fallout. And that PP just pops... and stays on until you take it off! It honestly changed the way I feel about Pressed Pigments! I LOVE them now and use them constantly!

Thanks!

I'm going to try this. I also just got UD's new glitter glue so I'm going to test one on each eye on Saturday and see how they hold up on me.
