I have a confession I got a post card in the mail from Ulta that said 10% off premium brands and I used it to get some IT cosmetics goodies.


I'm going to make an online order soon at Sephora. I want to get the beauty blender triple threat and the UD electric palette and UD cream liner in Perversion. I'm on the fence about that Marc Jacobs face brush any one have that one?

So after looking at this palette for about 2.5 weeks I decided that I wouldn't use it. I found it boring and very dupable by other items in my stash. I took it back to Ulta and exchanged it for..... The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I know I will use this one instead of the other.

i giggle as i write this but there is no other way i could word it... are the balls the same size as the full size?
i'm thinking this tiny sample would last forever, yet so awesome for traveling. i'm going to try them again on just the decollete but i am always holding my baby so unsure when i could where them.

I would imagine the balls are the same size, but I won't know until my full size gets here. I am definitely going to use the little sample ones for traveling.

I really really like the Chocolate Bar. The shades & texture are very nice.

Can you believe that I was in an Ulta for the very first time 2 weekends ago! I had no idea what they even carried. It was awesome except they were sold out of items that I wanted. The displays weren't as gross as Sephora's but not all the clean either. I was happy to see that they carry Alterna - my favorite hair products.

How do you get coupons for Ulta, just sign up in the store or are they available other places?

I think you get more of the 20% coupons that include prestige products if you are a Silver member or whatever Ulta's reward tiers are. The more you spend the more you save! Yeah, that's it.

So even though I'm not going anywhere I decided to test my ABH contour palette. The first and third light shades are great highlighter shades. I take it that the second shade is used for under the eyes and that doesn't work for me at all. Makes my dark circles more noticeable. If you're lighter than me or your under eye situation is less severe, it might work out for you. I was a little skeptical about the contour shades, but they definitely work on me. The darkest shade is the best thing I've used to shape my nose. The other two colors are great for shaping my face and the second darkest color can be mixed with the third to tone down the redness in it if I want to use that one on my face. On a scale of 1-10 I think this is an 8. Pretty damn good.

Ulta sends you coupons through the mail every other month.. usually it's 20% off but not on prestige cosmetics or sometimes it's 20% off and just 10% off prestige. I'd say about twice a year I receive a coupon for 20% off INCLUDING prestige cosmetics AND perfume and they always have awesome gift with purchases. you can get regular 20% off coupons from their site when it's available but if you are a member they mail/email you the one that allows prestige or perfume. Their coupons are designated to the email account only and one time use. the website coupons aren't limited. They have a friends and family sale twice a year that allows outsiders to use it you just need to get a hold of the link. 99% of the time clinique and lancome are not included in the sales. I sound like i'm promoting ulta, i barely go there unless it's for perfume or nail polish. I do enjoy their 30 days of beauty sales. the deals are awesome.

I do think the smells can dissipate after awhile. I've had a few things that had strong scents when I first got them & now I hardly notice it. Time will tell.

i ordered a lipstick i didn't need just to get the guerlain meteroites that i wear lol the lipstick ended up being my favorite so far so it was worth it.

i've been looking at that LM perk... very tempted but i don't wear foundation so i wouldn't use half the stuff.

The highlighter in that LM perk is divine.. I have the full size but felt I had to get the 500 pt perk too.. I doubt anyone could hit pan on the full size.. you need such a tiny amount.. it is a stunning highlight.

I purchased the Hourglass ambient palette because I skipped out on it when it originally came out.. and when it was 20%. Do you guys think that palette is a must have? I was too scared to wait for the next 15% / 20 % off sale, but $58 is a little pricey for me, especially since I am totally in love with my Nars light reflecting powder -- I have that in the loose and powder version..

yes the balls are similar in size to the full size. I imagine it would last you a while but it's kind of hard to swirl in that sample packaging.
