Lol, isn't that the truth! That would be a true miracle product!
It is a conspiracy that's why.  Make up companies won't make a product like that, because it would be the HG one product wonder. The make up companies want you to buy a full arsenal of products to do one simple thing. One for mattifying, a product to blur your pores etc etc... Lol I wish they did though. That would be a miracle!
so true.. if it did it would be a total paste plaster looking blob... lol
Exactly! You're lucky if you can get 2 of these traits in one foundation. Anything more than that requires a second or third product!

I liked it too, but it did to make dry spots worse. Maybe if I invested in a super good moisturizer . I just don't know where to start.
clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion amazing for use under makeup!
clinique moisture surge intense skin fortifying hydrator amazing for everyday use! And this one too clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief!
clinque moisture surge overnight mask perfect for going to bed with.

I swear by those products.

Favorite foundation for winter dry cracked skin, Clinque Moisture Surge CC cream!
I know some people complain about it but I get full coverage and after you take it off, your skin looks beautiful.

I use F&B from MAC on most days. I love Stuio Fix from MAC, it covers very well and lasts a long time for me without getting oily.
I have heard really good things about Bare Minerals foundation.
My sister who has really terrible acne scars, has yet to find one she really likes that covers and conceals from higher end brands.
She tries to stay away from concealer because it clogs her pores even more.
I know as I type, I will keep saying she lol but bare with me.
She tried KVD, and the coverage was nice, it really is full coverage and it concealed great. But the down side pimples would sprout like crazy after and it clogged the pores.
She also tried the Estee Lauder Double Wear and it covered and concealed and was wonderful. But attracted dirt too much.
She is still in-between a lot of foundations at the moment. Right now she is trying out Studio Fix from MAC, with two layers it conceals the scars and lasts all day. She wore it yesterday in extreme heat all day and it started getting oily 9 hours later. Plus side it didn't clog the pores.
I hope this helps. I mean I know it isn't me who experienced it but my sister is very close to me and very vocal so she tells me her thoughts on everything lol. So I hope this helps.

I forgot to mention her favorite and she still uses it is the Maybelline dream matte mouse.
I've tried all those too before I decided I hate matte. But it's hard to love dewy and be oily lol. I think I would like face and body but I believe the coverage isn't enough. I'll have to look at the Studio Fix and Studio Sculpt. Any help is appreciated. I feel like a nut and my local Sephora keeps promising they're gonna find me a foundation I love.

Do you wanna be dewy all over? Or just where you aren't oily?

I would actually say I'm probably combo. I am sometimes pretty dry in spots. I just find throughout the day I get start noticing the oil. Some days it's worse than others. It's not super bad but it can sometimes get to the point where foundation is melting off if it's not a matte foundation. I just want a skin appearance- mostly just nothing matte. I also find semi matte to sometimes be too matte around my pores.

Just come do my face Erin!!

Don't feel like a nut, that is their job to help you find what you are looking for.
Take advantage of the samples too lol

Multiple products is fine... just finding them all to work perfectly together to achieve my HG face is the hard part.

I'd love too! It's only a 2.5hr drive! So I'm thinking probably PLW. It has a natural finish (not matte, and you can add some lustre drops and apply it to where you want some glow), it's got the longwearing factor that you're looking for, it's a medium-buildable coverage, and, if you use the monastat underneath, it'll blur your pores and help with oil control. Just make sure you're moisturizing well underneath everything for the dryness in those few areas, as well as exfoliating twice a week. Did we cover all the requirements? I think we got em all!

I use The dramatically different moisturizing lotion under makeup, but It feels like it doesn't sink in well enough. At night I only just use coconut oil, which works really well. I wonder if I can pass using the coconut oil under makeup if i allowed enough time for it to sink.

Not directed to me. But what would you recommend as a good exfoliator for really dry and sensitive skin?

Absolutely! You can use it for day or night. I use it for undereyes at night and in the morning under my concealer. Just give it a good 15 mins to set. Apply it first thing in the morning and you're ready to go by the time you apply your makeup.

I second that! Although I'm more on the normal side.
I love MAC's VAE. Its not to harsh, and leaves you skin super soft! Just use it in the shower (the black stains towels) cuz the steams opens up your pores and helps in combo with the VAE to remove all the crud inside. Just rub it all all around until all the sugar is dissolved and rinse it away. The sugar is gentle on the skin and does the exfoliating, and the volcanic ash removes unnecessary oil. If you can try a sample first, do so, because some people with sensitive skin find it a tad tingly for them. If you want something more homemade, sugar and coconut oil. Simple as that!

Thank you!!! I think I will pick up a sample of VAE when I go into MAC to check out AA. I hope it works for me!! I think I may try the homemade one as well!

No problem. Hopefully you like it. I've been using it ever since it came out and i love it! Every once it a while i do a deep exfoliation with Lush's Ocean Salt, but that's a harsh exfoliator. But minus the occasional scrub with that, i always use the VAE!
