MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

Just wanted to share what have become two of my favs from this collection. I have Delphic on my cheeks and Enchanted One on my lips. I'm an NC15/NW13 depending on formulation so I thought for sure I would be all up in Aphrodite's Shell. But I found it to be entirely too light for my liking yet too dark as a highlighter. I'm obsessed w Delphic though. I like the tone and pigmentation. And I didn't think I'd like Enchanted One either as I like my nudes super chalky but I liked it a lot regardless. I'm wearing just the lipstick here but I love it w Peachstock on top, too Anyway, just thought I'd share!

Thank you! It's actually a Covergirl single in Mink, which I guess is supposed to be a dupe for All that Glitters, so... yes.

ps: enchanted one looks exactly like honeylove on me.. which i dont mind cause it is one of my favorite lippys and i was running a bit low on it... SWATCH IN STORE FELLAS AND GALS AND NEWBIES! SWATCH IN STOREEEEEEEEE. and dont just swatch on your arm, swatch on your lips where your natural pigmentation will have an effect.

It's probably no secret anymnore that I'm verrrrry picky about the right shade of bronzer.

Wearing the wrong shade of bronzer is like wearing the wrong shade of foundation/concealer. One might not notice it immediately (due to lighting, etc.), but other people can tell for sure that something is "off." It's a no go. It's a crime. It's against any sense of fashion and make up.

I'm thrilled that I could help you finding the right shade of bronzer for your complexion. I'm sure it looks gorgeous and natural on you, turning you into a glowing, sun kissed goddess.

MAC-Guy can you add me to your PM list? I usually follow your recs for bronzers and cheek products. I have dupes for both these blushes but I would have loved recs for the whole collection. I did pretty good I think, and I listened to you on Loralei and Siren Song, and those did NOT disappoint at all. I pick up bits and pieces where I can but it helps me to hear what you and Erine think are the best products if I have to pick and choose...

That's how I feel! It's a good thing I don't live near a store because i'd go and pick up even more.  Lorelei Silver Sun Legendary Lure and Clear Water to be specific, lol I already have plenty. But man I want more!! :macwallet:

I don't even want to admit how many small packages were just delivered to my home... 2 Mac, 1 sephora, and an origins. No buy starts... Soon! It was brush cleaning day so I had to work with what was dry obviously not the first stringers. Any advice on how to keep the EDES from going full glitter bomb? I love it, but had to remove and redo my foundation in order to clean it up. Anyway, presenting fathoms deep on the eyes, a tiny flirt with Delphi on my cheekbones, and mystical under seducing sound on the lips. Can't wait for my Macy's order!

Use them wet to avoid so much fallout, but an easier way that works with all shows (since you can't use the regular shadows wet) is to just do your eyes first and your foundation last. No need for for cleanup or having to redo your foundation or concealer. Problem solved!

Ugh darn it.  I'm disappointed in Legendary Lure.  The greenish tint doesn't show up on me at all.  It is fabulously smooth and the packaging is beautiful but the color is major yawn.  It's just grey.  Plus the actual shadow fell out of the package when i turned it upside down.  It was totally loose in there.  Wish I could've gotten Fathoms Deep.  Oh well.  I mean I'll use LL because I wear grey/silver all the time but I was hoping for something new.

All of mine look gray in the package. I have LL, Soul Serenade, and Fathom's Deep. I'm assuming when I swatch them that they'll look better.
