So my grandma was rushed to the hospital she had pains and she was getting dizzy. It was all routine, she went in with an ulcer. Lastnight she needed surgery, but the dr said she won't survive the surgery. To his surprise she did and she wasn't awake yet this morning. Then because we live so far, about 2 hours, we decided to go down to be with her and my uncle for support. Then minutes passed as we were getting my mom in the car and my uncle called to let my mom know she passed away.
I'm sorry Dolly for your lost :(

I think I'm finally done with my haul :) I stop by Nordstrom on my way home from work. I got see me hear me and Siren Song since everyone was raving about it. Let me just say I'm not a big lustre fan but this lippy is really lovely and feels great on. So here is my pic wearing it I couldn't wait to put it on

it really is beautiful- i know without you saying the name it is siren song.

this maybe be a stupid question, but its not a frequently asked one in here:
did mac put out any face charts? i thought that they (or at least at some point they did this?) released a few 'official' face charts with looks for the collection.

@Dolly Snow So sorry to hear about your grandmother. May you and your family find comfort during this time.

I lost my Grandpa last week after a 10 year battle with cancer. He waited until all his kids made it home and then he asked my aunt who is his caretaker how long "this" was gonna take. Then he pretty much went to sleep and stayed that way for two days. My grandma was acting line she really didn't want to be alone in the room with him once he was unconscious so my aunt went in with her and encouraged her to talk to him, and let him know it was ok for him to go because he was so worried about leaving her. She cried and told him "It's all right now, we are done here." and he stopped breathing. They would have celebrated 60 years together next month.

I tried on Siren Song and as a NC44 I like it. reminds me of the Tropical mist, woodrose type sheer, bare, nude lip but a cool tone.
though someone did compare it to jet couture in the swatch thread!
Ahh that's a good comparison. I was going to get that.

Dolly, I am so sorry for your loss. I was not expecting to hear that. My heart hurts for you guys. Safe travels.

Syd I am so sorry for your loss. That made me cry! That was nice of your aunt to encourage your grandma.
He just needed her to let him know it was ok.
My condolences to your family!

I need a contour now that
All this talk about contouring reminded me that I read somewhere a while back that the pro longwear shadow in fashion fix is a good color for contouring. I've been wanting to check it out to see if that's the case, but I always forget. Do you ladies and gents have any opinions on that?
I 2nd this I've apparently been sold something for contour and been using it like a fool *damnit* eyeshadow/??

It seems like such a difficult thing when a grandparent passes. You have your own relationship with them to grieve, and then parents tend to lean on their children in that time. My mom lost her dad two months ago and now my dad lost his dad. It's difficult to watch your parents hurt like that. You are such an amazing daughter to help with travel and expenses. :)

That's the saddest and sweetest thing I've ever read. I'm totally bawling right now. My dad's dad was unconscious for the longest time after suffering multiple heart attacks and strokes (he was 91 i think???). When they thought that it was about that time, we all drove down to Florida to see him before he passed. For all that time he held on, and ended up passing the night we got down there, just hours after my dad was able to see him and tell him he could go.
Man, I'll never use the alcohol method again.  some of my recent depots look horrible and I lost a shadow. LOL   do you put alcohol on shadows with cracks or dents in them?
I don't because i don't have 99% alcohol, only 70%. When it broke, it broke in layers, like if you were leveling a cake. Does that make sense? The top half layer just fell right off!

I wish my mom would lean on me. But she isn't.
She feels guilty because if she could walk she would have been there the second they called.
My dad works out of town, he has to be home to get her out of bed.
I am very sorry for your parents and you aswell.

Erin that is so heartbreaking, at least your dad was able to say goodbye.

About how big is he? I'm wondering how big she's going to get.

Dolly, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I know it's not easy to lose a family member. I lost my aunt a couple years ago to cancer. :( If you need anything at all, I'm here for you!
