Well I know I'm not old old, but I just think where'd the time go? I used to be the youngest person everywhere I went and now..not so much.
lol.gif
No big deal, though. The laugh lines are for real, though!
lmao.gif
Totally----even the last ten years that have so defined my life as it is today, are to some degree and absolute blur. I wouldn't go back if you paid me to. Laugh lines
are better than frown lines any day!

Did I mention I got my 5th (and likely final) YSL BD K & B? I got Corail Affranchi 07 and it's prettier than the Orange Fougueux, 04 that we got. I thought 07 would
be coral but it's a lighter orange---more like MAC SLN and it's lovely!

Ehh. So I wore the Illuminator and Flush palette today. Sorry to say they are both duds. The illuminator's shimmer just sits on the skin like haaaaay. It doesn't migrate, but it's just not particularly flattering. It gave a white cast after I blended it and adding foundation on top made it better, but not by much. Maybe it'll work better with just moisturizer. It has the texture of a foundation already, but with no coverage, so maybe that is the case. I'm not going without foundation, so that's not good. The palette-the blush was powdery, but blended out just fine. I's buildable and I really liked that. The highlighter was very flattering, but the bronzer is completely useless on my skin. Actually, I could probably use it as a setting powder because it's so close to my complexion. Unfortunately, it's the largest of the three shades. So, there it is. Hopefully I have gotten all this Naked stuff out of my system. These face products were not meant for me. I'll stick to the eyeshadows. Also, I saw the new double ended brush that had me drooling online. Man, what a disappointment. It looks like a child's toy. Next!

Thanks for this comprehensive review Shontay---$$$$ saved. I shouldn't even be looking at illuminators. I don't feel particularly confident w/the liquid ones as they do
require a little more work if used topically versus being mixed in with foundation.

Too bad about the brush---I'm not too crazy about doubled ended ones anyway.

Me neither, but I thought it was a normal sized brush. It's almost mini and the buffer end is so sparse. Too bad. I forgot to add that what makes the Flush palette a dud is that after 5 hours the blush pretty much disappeared. This doesn't happen with my other blushes.

I'm interested in these new Estee Lauder products on Nordstroms online. I should put new in quotes because they might be repromotes of some sort. I've never paid EL much attention. I want to see one of those gelee illuminators I've heard so much about. Other than that, there's absolutely nothing calling me. Maybe I can finally buy that new Viktor and Rolf perfume.

Oh I hear you. I ordered the illuminator gelee because IMO that formula rivals that of MAC, Chanel, Dior, Armani and many others. I hope it doesn't contain anything to
which you're allergic---I need you to experience it. I have everyone of the other gelees that EL produced, and I've completely used 2 of the Modern Mercury. The new
one, Crystal Baby appears peach colored. I'll know better when it arrives on Tuesday. The design is like that of 'Tease' which is stark pink. I ordered a lipstick, NP &
gloss, all in this new Crystal Baby collection. I hope it's good.

i've heard so much about the gelee. Dustin Hunter usually does a haul of every Bronze Goddess collection and I thought they were only released as part of that. How do they compare to the EDSF?

Dilli that's an interesting observation because the newest gelee is only featured at Nordstrom at this time, so I guess it's exclusive for at least a while anyway, at Nordstrom.
Might this have been planned for their anniversary sale? I'm not sure.

IMHO the gelee formula is superior to the EDSFs, which I also happen to love. That said, the EDSFs are the closest to the gelees in formula & performance than
any other highlighters that I've experienced. I love the gelee formula so much that I purchased the newest one, Crystal Baby w/o really knowing its color. It appears
peach but I won't know that until it arrives this week. I went out on a limb because of my prior experience & obsession w/the gelees.

Anyone see this? I'm curious.
I wonder if they are matte versions of the MUFE aqua creams
This was disappointing. I guess I had it in my mind as a matte version of the MUFE aqua creams. They are not. The color isn't consistent across the range the only to colors I didn't find patchy was the navy blue and the black . The black was the best one they had and its sold out. They all have micro glitters in them. I say glitters because they are larger than shimmers. I won't be purchasing any. However if anyone else does please let me know what your thoughts are on them.

I haven't tried any of their lip products either but I'm super intrigued by the new Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Colors!

I have two. Be warned..NOT MATTE! They are more like liquid amplifieds (maybe a bit more more) They transfer, and in the four hours at a time I wear them they do not dry down. I guess they can be long wearing if you don't eat or drink, but after I eat it's off. Not just with greasy foods like KVD.

That said, really nice and moisturizing, pretty colours, good pigmentation, so I do actually like them, but I am disappointed in how deceiving the name of the product is (but I should have known better for believing in such a magical product haha)

Bummer! I just bought two tonight! Oh well, they're pretty enough. Guess I'll stick to Bite's Cashmere Lip Creams for a slightly more matte look. I don't dare try KVD, my lips are way too dry.
