MAC jumped the gun again so i've missed out online a few times this year... but i'm not freaking out, since i was planning to check it out in the store anyway. I hope everyone got what they wanted...

I guess I hadn't been keeping up with the thread as well as I thought. I read some posts that said it had been announced it would release early online and I was still under the impression. It wasn't releasing online until the 5th. I missed out too but it's ok. I've only successfully stalked for Archie's girls and temperature rising so I learned to just go in to the store on launch day. I don't know what is up lately though, life and work is kicking my ass and now I'm wondering if I'm getting too old for mac and all their LE games. Anyone know what I mean?

I've always been a crazy online shopper though so you better believe I know how to stalk the mac site before releases. Anyway, picked up all 4 Kelly lippies this morning plus nightmoth because I've been wanting it forever, can't wait to get them! Paid for 2 day shipping but called and got refunded at least, hoping I get my stuff on Wednesday!

Since there's some discussion about foundations I need help..which foundations are photo friendly Mac studio fix fluid.. ..prolongwear or studio tech..what's that rule with the SPF? If a foundation has that you will get flash back? What if your moisturizer has SPF?

Any MAC foundation is fine except Studio Fix. SPF has nothing to do with flashback. It's actually the size of the titanium dioxide (tho sometimes used for SPF) particles that cause the flashback. I use both SFF and MM in my kits and have never experienced flashback. But to be safe with any foundation that you use, always set it with a flesh coloured face powder, but DON'T use Studio Fix. Use MSFN, Careblend, Select Sheer, etc. and don't use the white/translucent HD powders either. Those are notorious for flashback as well. Mind you, this all applies to flash photography.

SPF will always cause some flashback. Oh, and be sure not to use HD powders if you are going to use flash photography.  I've made that mistake with the MUFE HD powder...

It's not.

I got an email back from MAC about my shipping issue.  They said that my order had already been shipped with standard shipping and that they could reroute the shipment back to them but I might lose out on the products.  They also said if I just let them proceed with the standard shipping then they could extend free overnight shipping for a future order. SMH... I PAID for overnight shipping, and that is how it was sent.  I couldn't have been anymore clear in my original email to them.  They were useless.  I told them not to reroute anything and that I would call to have this straightened out.  I found an opportunity to go call and they straightened everything out very easily over the phone and I will be refunded for the overnight shipping.  Lesson learned... call them directly and don't rely on emailing them. 

Calling is almost always better than emailing. Especially when dealing with refunds.

Ugh I called cs to see if they can switch my order to overnight since it wasn't an option when I made the purchase this morning told me there was nothing she could do. And that the overnight shipping didn't go up till the launch at 9:30 ET but I Most def put my purchase in before 8:00 ET and she she has no idea how I got my order in before launch time but assured me my order will be shipped out. How is that possible, if I didn't launch how was I able to purchase them and why was KYY sold out like 10 min later. Did anyone get there order in by 8am and miss free overnight shipping?

This was asked and answered a couple times already. Online and over the phone are separate with regards to inventory/release times. And just cuz one can order online doesn't mean it's officially released.

Yes, lol. In my old age my temper is short. It does not mean I dislike people that are members. I welcome all that contribute and that are a part of the community.  I just dislike drama, bullshit, and people talking out of their asses to create drama and bullshit about something that is as mundane and typical as a MAC launch can be. I lack the snark of Erin but I just can't hide the frustration today. I do dislike the guests that are just here for info and leave. It ruins the sense of community for me.

LOVE!!! I'd do a nude eye/thick winged liner with DG (with a slightly darker liner for some definition) or other purple like heroine or PH (if you buy it), or do a blue-based purpley smokey eye with a very soft application of DG so that it's very nude.
