MAC x Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection (Oct 2, 2014)

Wouldn't it be awesome if mac consulted with consumers/makeup lovers on these collections then we could absolutely guarantee that we wouldn't be let down with the results like maleficent. The collection for RHPS better be HUGE! In my dream, it was only red lipsticks and I was pissed. Oh, and I second a lipstick named after dolly snow since everything looks good on her!

To be honest once i saw the Maleficent movie I realized why the collection looked the way it did. No one else's make up was notable in that film besides Maleficent/ Angelina Jolie. I think more than anything most people were disappointed by the packaging.

RHPS is one of my favorite movies of all time! If they mess this up like they did Maleficent I'll be sooooooooo pissed.

Yeah Maleficent was a let down...they really could've added a lot more to it.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who wasn't disappointed in Maleficent. I felt like it suited what they were trying to achieve with it, The products weren't necessarily exciting, but they were solid products that matched the look of the title character. Of course, I also don't want every collection to be amazing and unique and all that because I would end up out on the street after selling my house to MAC. LOL

I think for just based on AJs character it was perfect. But I still felt like something was missing. I saw the film and there were a lot of brown and green and black tones throughout the movie. That would've been cool to do another quad like that

they supplied us with everything we'd need to successfully recreate Angelina's look, no more and no less.

I'm already having dreams about this collection! This morning my husband asks me in a snappy tone "so who's Brad?" I of course replied "huh?" Hubs: "yeah, I heard you talking about Brad and Janet in your sleep. Who is he?" Me: "Oh, I was dreaming of the lipsticks in the RHPS collection!" Hubs: "yeah, I guess that makes sense. You were saying something about Rocky too." Lol, it's gonna be a long wait til October.

Actually, I agree. That would have been a pretty quad. I'm still fine with small collections, but a quad in those colors could have been beautiful. If they went that route, they probably still would have used carbon which is pretty much just a given. I could imagine something like Bottle Green, which would have been lovely. Maybe also a lighter, more yellowed lime green as well, and then a mid-tone brown.

I've never seen the movie, and don't care to. I think it won't have the same affect that it had when it first came out. BUT I'm down for new collex's with pretty colors! LOL

I've only seen parts of it from research during senior year of theater class lol I actually would like to watch it, I love watching cult classics.
