I forgot to mention that I was really impressed with the felt tip liner also. The makeup artist did a very precise winged line. I did notice that she had me keep my eye closed for a few moments after she applied and it felt very wet. I was told these are water 'resistant' as opposed to waterproof . I decided to wait on this since I have problems with liners transferring up because my lids are hooded.
I have no idea why Chanel discontinued its prior pen liner. I used one for a solid year, it was awesome. I hope the new one is just as good.

Thank you Twill--your swatches are on point and you look so angelic in everything. Are you wearing the fluid in your picture? Which one do you use?

Thank you! I'm wearing the Fluid in #30. I was surprised that the makeup artist picked 30 since I usually wear 40 so this must run a little darker. It really gives the skin a gorgeous finish.

Chanel Fall 2014 (Collection États Poétiques) Swatches and Review

Now I'm liking Confident too... but I need to see more swatches to make a final list.
I was so sure I wanted Palpatation, Sensation, Exaltation and Pulsion e/s but now i'm not so sure....

Love Viva CS and Songe glossimer!

Thanks for posting this... it may make my decision a little easier. There is something about the promo pictures I just love. I know a lot of people are seemingly disappointed in the collection and think it's rushed, but I am totally for these colours (if the formulas are better than what was swatched!!).

Swatches of Atmosphere & Orage: Foto von naturalnchicmak
Thanks for this! Definitely getting Atmosphere (reminds me of a sheerer version of Mac's Endless Night which is my perfect nude) but Orage looks like another Vertigo type invisible shimmer, so pass. I think they're pretty shades but I get annoyed when you can't actually see the shimmer in them

I got sundeck too, and I agree, it's such a wonderful everyday palette, the one you bring with when forced to reduce the beauty case

I think the orange e/s throws some people off. I couldn't believe how subtle & neutral the look is with this palette. This is my winner of the season Urbis.

I'm Going to have to check the shadows in person. While they're very bold-looking at first blush, I'm not interested if the colour payoff isn't there. I knew I would love Aura and I'm surprisingly drawn to Confident as well. Thanks everyone for the swatches and links! @twill the products look lovely on you.

This palette is no new to the dior line: I remember something similar aa couple of summers ago, but it was sparkler than this one , and a huge success since it went sold out in few weeks. And it featured orange too. I think these colors appeal to a large number of women, they are easy to wear

Hi.
i thought I just chime in, the palette you are talking about is Aurora, I already compared these two in case you want to check out
(http://www.colormeloud.com/2014/04/dior-5-couleurs-transat-edition-564.html)
Having said that, although theme is close, they look very different on the eyes. I think it is mainly because of the textures as you already pointed out. Sundeck balances the textures really good but I have never really fallen for Aurora (apart from the name being prettier) ;-)

Very nice swatches, thanks for sharing detective Naynadine
The swatches show though what I already experienced with Pulsion, eye shadow singles look dry and patchy. Especially Pulsion and Hesitation.
Confident looks nice though.
She also talks about the same feeling I had from Summer Collection, the pieces don't match as well as they used to. Sigh, maybe I should just skip this release.

I have both Aurora ( summer 2012 Croisette ) and Sundeck, the pattern on the Aurora palette was a bit difficult to play with but it is a gorgeous quint, I still use Aurora sometimes, the other Croisette palette Swimming Pool has now become very chalky though due to this pattern " plissé soleil " pretty but very powdery now, 2 years later . Sundeck is definitely good, the formula too. Dior reformulated the es, it was high time I think, the new ones look buttery or silky, beautiful too :)

Yes you are right, the pattern was pretty but hard to use. I didn't get Swimming Pool since it was way too pastel for my liking. I am also very excited about the new Dior formula, seeing how well Chanel did, Dior's should be even better

I agree with Dominique. I don't think we can miss him at Chanel yet. Just as Dior fans can't get excited over his work yet - Dior announced his first work for them would be seen in 2015:
