Yeah me and deporting...we don't get along. I would mess this up royally. This is partially a reason why I don't get limited edition single eyeshadows. Because I don't want to deal with depotting. Lol
I never depot. It seems easy enough, I guess, but I have just never really wanted to. I have a ton of singles and I actually love my singles for some reason.

You would be surprised at how easy it actually is!
I am a clumsy person and this was a breeze.

 you are so straight forward I love it
Thanks. :) I am glad you like it. It's one of these collectons that just hit me a certain way. It's kind of hard for me to pussyfoot around on this one! All I can say is "money saved!" I hope none of you thought I was trying to imply that you would have to be colorblind to like it. It just wouldn't have mind my first choice in a color/shape arrangement for a collection. I am more into softer edges and either round or oval shapes. I honestly didn't like the look of Proenza Collection either. If I had to pick my most favorite design for a lipstick container and packaging all around, it would be Guerlain. It screams luxe. I really love how weighted their more expensive lipsticks are ... the ones that are more kind of oblong, where the lipstick pulls out from the side. Then as it opens, you have the closeup and regular mirror built right into the case, so you can put your lipstick on without missing a beat while showing off their lovely workmanship. Now we're talking!!! Come to mama! I hope everyone is having a nice night. :)

Haha, not at all, Honey. I was just poking a little fun at that comment. I never took it personally. I don't like this packaging enough to be able to take it personally anyway! :)

I know! Dont get the logic, if some one already brought the 15 palette, its sold and then why would they care if we change few shadows around. Only means more pro pan purchases for them which is good business

Me too!! I depotted everything I owned last month. It was GREAT! I did it all in one long afternoon. Now my drawer is clean and I have 2 double palettes to organize everything in. HIGHLY recommend. OH, almost forgot, the AA shadows CANNOT be depotted. They are not in the metal containers. Found out the hard way!!

I hate the square lipstick packaging too.

Does packaging really trump product now? Doesn't anyone care to see the swatches? I mean, I'm likely to skip this collection, too, but we've barely only gotten a glimpse of the actual products and yet it seems that almost everyone has already made up their minds to skip just based on a single picture of the packaging. I mean, that's fine, and no one should buy anything they dislike or won't use, but still...
I put good ol' fluffy in here awhile back! I had already kinda had this on my skip list but was contemplating maybe getting a lipstick because I like red-oranges, but I just don't feel like my liking of red-oranges trumps my disdain for this packaging. The lippy might be great even being a cremesheen which is not one of my favorite finishes (another strike against it) but I'm going to hold out for one of the other bazillion red-oranges I know MAC will put out that isn't in packaging that I find to be an eye sore. Packaging very rarely ever sways my decision to buy or not buy a product, but when it's something I'm already on the fence about, it can very well be a deal breaker for me.

I'm the same way.. packaging usually only sways me if I'm on the fence.
Wow, you're gorgeous! I got SLN last year and wish that I hadn't, it's a nice shade but takes too much work for me to get it to not look crappy on me. I liked it when I first got it, but now it just collects dust. :sigh:
I wish I hadn't missed out!

Just because people don't agree with the packaging style means that they dismissed the product. This reminds of Guerlain's holiday collection from last year in which a few people bashed the packaging because it wasn't "elegant" enough despite the fact that most of the products were top notch quality.

I showed the available collection picture to my mom to see what she thought of it since she's the same age as Brooke Shields and so far she liked it color story and packing wise, orange square and all. Her only problem is that she's not a fan at all of Mac's lipglass or lipstick finishes because she finds the lipgloss too sticky and most of the lipsticks drying. If the products apply smoothly and opaque without being tacky, sticky, and drying, then she might give the collection a chance. As for me, I'm not a fan of the cremesheen formula because it's either a hit or miss (most of the time being a miss), but I do like Artful lip glass.

The nudey 15 color es palette and both lip glosses. Artful- mid tone coral and Knockout - Bright Orange Red (not if they are creamy tho). Glosses are a bit tricky, hit or miss so most have to be tested in store for me. Buying glosses blind mostly end up in being gifted. Loving the sound of the palette tho. Hope the quality matches or exceeds the price whatever it is.
