Sorry for a newb question but what makes a MAC store a standalone?
I'm pretty sure the "counters" in Macy's and Nordstrom's are well..counters haha
but what about the actual MAC shops in mall? are those standalone?

You want to be there as soon as they open. Or call ahead now and see if they'll do a pre-order for you. But as long as you're there when they open, you should be okay. I have made really good friends with the manger team at my counter so I text my order and they charge my card so it's waiting whenever I go get it. Lol

I just called and he said it is released to stores on Oct 9th. I thought it was Thursday??

Honestly, this online stuff is not worth the stress. I'll just go to my local MAC store on Thursday. I swear this place is a hidden gem...I think very few people know it exist. Maybe because it's near the beach. However, every launch that was in high demand, I was the only one in line 15 to 20 minutes before they opened their doors opened. By the time the doors opened, there we 5 to 10 people. I was able to get everything I wanted without the stress. So ladies, that weren't able to get what you wanted, just to go the store on Thursday.

I love hidden gem stores! I found a CVS the other day that's smaller than I've seen and doesn't seem to get much traffic. I picked up the Milani Constellation gel liner I was looking for (they had the whole Milani Fall collection in stock but I didn't want anything else). I was looking for the Maybelline Mattes which they didnt have but if they did I'm sure they would've had a full, untouched stock

I wish I had a MAC store near me. I used to have 2, now there are none. I think it would be over 2 hours for me to get to one. ;-(

Yep, anything that's just a Mac store, not a counter within another larger store

Yes actual MAC stores, are the standalone stores. All MAC stores are considered standalone.

Counters are Macy's, Nordies and belks etc.

No one knows for certain when or if a restock will happen.
If they took this long just to get it out, I doubt a restock is around the corner.
