So I went to the instore launch today with two fellow Specktrettes, @jchait and Debbs. It was fun ladies and I can't wait to do it again. I originally wanted Oblivion, Frank-N-Furter and It's Not Easy Having A Good Time. When i got there I happen to swatch the colors I wanted and ended up exchanging Strange Journey for Oblivion. Strange Journey is beautiful and IMO the stand out among the lipsticks in this collection. It will look amazing on just about anyone. From the fair to the dark. I also think everyone NEEDS It's Not Easy Having A Good Time!!! It's stunning. Absolutely beautiful. The one Item I didn't orginally plan for and ended up with was the Crazed Imagination Powder Blush. The color is lovely but Its a bit hard and difficult to get a decent swatch with the finger. I'm going to try later with a stiffer brush and see what happens. If it doesn't deliver I'm afraid I'm going to have to take it back.
Awww Sounds like so much fun! I'm really excited to try SJ now I think your like the 5th person that has said something great about it! I initially didn't even want it but I figured since I don't own Lady Danger anymore I might as well.

Love FnF for fall. Lovely deeper red on my pale skin.
Thanks for the swatches!! FnF looks so deep and pretty!

For what it's worth, my Mac was fairly civil. All that sold out while I was there was BF. They were taking phone orders and seemed to be decently stocked.

SJ was a last minute buy for me but I love it too!!

Tell me about that! Oh boy this one week I did get a lot of makeup too starting with Brooke Palette which I was sure I was skipping! But post the matte collex I am not interested in any new MAC Collections (those that we know of like Heirloom and the rest) . I hope it remains that way. And none of the Holiday Palettes look wow too (I did already get that benefit palette too)
Yea I'm with you V I'm about done with Mac for this year, I usually never get anything from the holiday collections and nothing else coming up really interests me

I have the same problem with regular nail polish! Gelibility is pretty awesome, though, I've used it twice now and it performs just like it should--sets dry in under a minute like a gel, and lasts like a gel! :) You do need a light to cure it, though.

You can buy it here:http://www.gelibility.com/

And I did review it on my own blog before with an OPI color: http://gel-luv.blogspot.com/2014/07/gelibility-regular-nail-polish-gel.html

(I did get my bottle free to review for my blog, but I'm using it multiple times of my own volition--so it's good!)
Blech, that's what I hate about Gel polish though, the curing. I'm thinking about trying CND vinylux though, the reviews I've seen so far have been EXCELLENT. After Gel polish came about I pretty much neglected all of my regular polish (tons of OPI smh), and I refuse to start buying gel polish so my polish sits and gets dusty! My hair is SUPER textured, and the simple act of washing it completely eats off regular polish so I just stopped painting my nails. So if Gelibility will help me make some use out of them it's definitely worth a try!

Personally I don't mind curing--I hate waiting for regular polish to dry. Soak offs are the most annoying part of gels, but with the right technique it only takes about 10 minutes.

I wash my hands constantly at my job, so regular polish chips on me like crazy. :(

Can't wait to get my other two lipsticks now--I'm kind of afraid to swatch those for specktra, though, since I'd need to put make up on and you guys are so much prettier anyway.

In the frenzy, I got two FnF's... now I'm glad. New favorite fall/winter red. Its in my top 3 with TF Melted Ruby and MAC Glam.

I felt like it looked brighter in T's swatches, soalmost didn't grab it at all, thinking it wasn't anything special. It is a nice deep red though!

Is everyone loving their goodies?

Ended up getting Sin and Crazed Imagination (which I originally wasn't interested in until I put it on myself - perfect fall blush!) with very little competition. I'm glad I decided to step away from my computer and go for a way less stressful in-store experience. I also decided to get Midimauve after discovering that it was the lipstick Kim K's makeup artist used for her look at the Givenchy show this past week >.

Same here, T's swatches made me not want FnF... not to mention the fact that I would have missed out anyway because they popped on and off of the site so quickly. T's swatches made it look brighter than I envisioned it. But I swatched FnF in store and snatched up two QUICK! I think it sold out while I was in line to pay lol!

Ha! I'm the same way lol... If I'm not in full face mode, I'm not putting up swatches to Specktra unless they're on my hand/arm...

I'm not surprised! It's a lovely color. I haven't worn it yet, so I can't speak for wear, but I did put it on and it was a nice texture. Hopefully it isn't drying. Glad you were able to get them!

T's swatches of it were so unappealing to me to the point that I kind of lost a bit of excitement over the whole collection. Now that I have everything though, I am so glad I decided to really splurge on this collection. My FNF will be delivered by 5 according to UPS and I'm going to speed home to try it on.

Hope this helps some people. This was MSO only, so if you're missing out try calling a MAC store. Dept stores are a no go!

I think I'm going to have to find a new blogger for swatches. The last few times I've decided not to get something because of her swatches, but then I see others and they always look so much better!

It's her lighting she's been using I think. It's very bright.

So I ordered FrankNFurter and Oblivion from the store--even though I said I would just order FnF  And to make myself blush even more, I have a confession to make: I actually bought "Bad Fairy" with Venomous Villians, and I don't think I ever wore it in all of this time--although judging by the bottle, I think my mother wore it once.  You guys made me dig it out of my small regular polish stash, and I mixed it in with a product that converts regular nail polish to gel polish called "GELibility": It looks most awesome in indirect/angular lighting, IMO.  In flooded daylight or indoor lighting, it isn't quite so awesome. Oh yeah, and my cuticles look pretty bad, sorry.  I just soaked off my old gel and put this on, I didn't even hydrate my skin before going all over the house taking pictures!
Nooooo making me feel bad about skipping lol such a gorgeous color!
