Question for those who have lots of experience with their balls -
any more specific brush recommendations? I know the hakuhodo j104 was mentioned. I've also heard some people use the Mac 138 brush. Seeing as I'm leaning toward either Dore #4 or the holiday balls, I'm wondering if it would be better to use a less dense brush so as not to overdo? Any thoughts/experiences with brushes for the balls?

On Bloomies website, the description says the balls "have been specially designed to enhance the complexion after nightfall under the lights of evening."
I mean, rules schmules of course, but perhaps these wouldn't be ideal for every day then? Curious what some of you think when your balls arrive today.

I have read on multiple places that it is scratchy :/

QUICK TAKE: natural hair, goat hair
All of my other brushes were too soft. This has a slight coarseness that picks up the powder and gently agitates the balls to get a nice mix of colours. I've washed it once and it shed kind of a lot, though, so I will stick to wiping it down with a diluted rubbing alcohol once a month or so.

Question: What size is the Voyage refill? I'm thinking of getting it and putting it in an empty compact, but it doesn't seem to be available in stores near me so I wouldn't be able to go up and see it in person beforehand and wanted to make sure I had the right size compact for it.
