Guerlain Holiday 2014- A Night at the Opera

I just caught up on this thread my gosh those balls look fantastic I think I need them Are these coming to the uk or shall I just order from sephora x Ladies you all look wonderful in these balls Amazing colouring to all of you Knowing me they Will look to orange or too much on my face though I reckon With a all over powder I tend to go to mad as look like not showing up or something and go over again then I look funny Or with the macificient powder lol I can over do that and look v offf whitish lol I just don't think I have the knack of applying powders all over powders bronzers highlighters ATM It annoys me And I watch you tube vids all day I can and still won't pick up on it I need to be shown not following videos where as most of you prob all if you I fact can follow a video and get it right most of time ))) Me I'm silly with a brush I also need to try the technique brushes too as I really don't think I have the right sort of brushes atm Anyhow girls They look stunning the balls do and all the pics too love seeing them

How are you guys applying these? All over or just on cheek bones? I don't think I've gotten the hang of it yet. Plus, I'm using the Guerlain scratchy brush. Maybe I should try another brush.

i was so sad when i saw the palette only got a b rating cuz i love mine... then i noticed she did the blushes individually...
...is that how you're supposed to use them? lol i guess i been doing it wrong -_-

i've been swirling my blush brush through all 4 colors to create one shade. after seeing how the colors came out for her separately, i think i'ma just stick to my way cuz it comes out really pretty and pigmented ^_^

I'm using a big fluffy powder brush. I lightly apply all over the face, and if I want a little more glow on the cheeks, I'll go over my cheek bones a few more times. I find it's hard to over apply, and it's definitely a subtle effect.

Today I used my Chanel Pinceau Poudre Biseauté Angled Powder Brush #2​. Applying over my entire face was so easy tw/the angled brush.

Don't get too hung up on ratings---after all, its just someone's opinion. If you're having a good experience with the product and it's working for you---that's pretty much all
that matters!! And, you use the product in that manner that best suits you!!!

Well, if it's any consolation, I always use both shades of my Guerlain blushes together, although I'll "lean" more towards one shade or the other when I want to customize. It's nice to see them swatched separately, but I get the feeling that they're intended to be used as a blend, and including four shades just allows you more options to come up with a final colour.

I kind of wish that they'd done separate shadow and blush palettes, because I feel like I can dupe the shadows easily enough, but I would love to have a palette of just the blushes.

im so glad you asked because that motivated me to wear it. I LOVE it and it smells pretty. My first Guerlain lipstick(or lip item period) and i absolutely love it.

It's absolutely LOVE it on you, and I LOVE the Guerlain lipstick formula but the packaging is a tad overkill--I keep waiting for my hubs to pick it up thinking it's his Swiss

Well, I've had a couple of them in my purse at once and felt like I could beat down anyone foolish enough to mess with me, so I guess I'd say it had multiple uses like a Swiss Army Knife.

I had a visual of you swinging a purse full of Guerlain G series lipsticks at someone's head. They really are heavy. Another plus is that because of the weight & bulk
they're easy to find in your purse.

it reminds me of something else thats x-rated but i love the weight. great paperweight to use at my desk. how do you guys store the lipsticks? it wont fit in my lipstick holder. Im wearing the balls today and i love the way it smells. different from the Teint Dore.

I have fun reading so many pages lol. I only want the balls from the collection. They look so beautiful. I hope they aren't bronzey at all on me. I have a travel size 01 Teint Rose, travel size 00 Blush which has many red balls, and a full size Perles de Nuit from Christmas a few years back. They smell divine!

:shock: We went to Panera for lunch early today -Yay for Broccoli Soup - went shopping for a bit, came back & I HAD BALLS IN MY GARAGE!!!!!!!!!!!! ompom: I didn't think they were coming today. They're SO Beautiful!!!! Even though I only got TWO red balls ooh: I had quite a few pink one & even amount of bronze & pearl shades. Over-all it was a pretty even distribution. They are SO darn pretty to look at. On me, its this beautiful slight glow very pale slight rose pink champagne shade. :sweet:  

Do you use them on your whole face? I hope I get a rose champagne shade on me.

Mine is not glittery at all. hmm. These are extremely hard to photograph because they reflect the light.

Your pics are amazing. I feel as though I'm looking at them in real. Beautiful, can't wait to get them in my hands.

Took some quick photos this morning of me in the new Opera meteorites- this was taken at 6:30 in the morning and I am impressed at how nice they made me look.  That is with a flash so it is not as good as with daylight.  I have no foundation on, just the Opera meteorites I do want to point out, however, that if there was glitter to be found, the flash would have magnified it and I can not see any there at all.

Excuse the odd car photo, but it's truly had to capture the loveliness of meteorites in pictures-- and I thought it did justice in outdoor lighting. The holiday balls gave me a bit of a glow, and really does seem like "photoshop" for your face. At least it photographs that way. Very happy with my purchase!
