I agree. And, 98% of the folks here are good and decent people who want to help each other. Here's a perfect example, I have been on the hunt for Strong Woman every since you told me that is was better than Heroine. I was not looking hard. I think someone saw our conversation and contacted me directly. She said I heard you were looking for Strong Woman. She went on to say that she had a BNIB one and wanted to swap it for one of my RiRi lipsticks. I agreed and she sent it to me last week. Amazing. She did not have to do that. I was very grateful to her for doing that.
Oh that's awesome! I'm glad you were able to snag it. How do you like it? I think it's the little touch of red in it that makes me favor it over Heroine though I love both.

I do like it. When I tried it on yesterday I preferred it when I lightened it with RRB. (I LOVE RRB as you can tell)

I do like it and I'm glad it didn't cost me $75.

I like RiRi Boy and Heroine more but I am glad that was able to get my hands on it.

I never would of guessed.

@Sweetyellow, do you like Strong Woman?
I don't own it....yet. LOL
But I was just asking because what works for you, will most likely work for me so I wanted to get your opinion on it.
Oddly enough, I do own Ririboy but don't quite like it. I like Dodgy Girl more. Ririboy brings out my green undertones, so I look a little washed out whenever I wear it. I've tried to wear blushes that are orange or golden based to warm myself up but it hasn't really made quite a difference.

I fell in love with RRB instantly but was not over the moon about DG. I now have a new appreciation for DG. It looks best on me when I apply it with a lip brush. Also, I will often mix RRB or DG with Heroine and it looks amazing. You may want to try that.

I'll definitely try mixing those three lipsticks together sometime soon. It already sounds like it's going to be very pretty.

I wear Dodgy Girl straight out of the bullet, but I apply Nars' Larger Than Life Lipgloss in Annees Folles over it. That lipgloss transforms that lipstick. It's a winning combination. Highly, highly recommend it.

Do you like Up the Amp? Do you have it? I prefer RRB more.

No, I don't. I do plan to purchase it sometime soon. It's just with all these limited edition collections, who has time to even look at the permanent collections? Wish MAC would slow down a little.

Btw, what blush do you usually wear with Ririboy? I'm determined to make this lipstick work for me.

I usually don't pick a special blush to go with a lipstick. I have been wearing Nars' Dolce Vita.

Yes people do come here to take advantage, its sad but I am so grateful for the many that are true makeup lovers and help others enjoy makeup as well. Its such a relief to actually have a place that can understand that there is a BIG difference between Salon Rouge and FnF and that it is definitely worth having both and even collecting more reds in the future.

I'd have to agree it's a bit challenging to put on straight from the tube. I wouldn't want to cover my entire lip with any lip pencil first either, because that'd be really hard to get a perfectly even layer of.

What works best for me is to pat a layer of TTT on from the tube, dabbing instead of swiping, then use my finger to warm it and pat it more into the skin - this gets it nice and even and gets the basic shape going. Then I do a second layer from the tube a little more heavily in a bit more of a swipe - but this color you really do have to apply in an even layer and people tend to put a little extra in the center of the lip - avoid doing that. After this, I either go back and define the edges with a brush - I use a flat edged sable hair water color brush instead of a makeup brush - gives the sharpest thinest line because fine art brushes of that level are made with extreme precision and sable is the most resilient for tight details. OR take your liner and now put it on along the edges, right on top of the lipstick! That is a good trick. Blend everything in a bit around the edges with a brush but not on the lip as a whole, because again, it makes it patchy. I think lip primer would be a help too, but I'm not sure if it would lessen the heavy matte finish - I don't own any lip primers personally.

I've actually been wearing TTT all day today, as a matter of fact; with Lavish Living on the cheeks and Stormy Pink p/p on the eyes - very good, simple combo!
Found it! @geeko @CarmenK @Vandekamp

I do this same technique more or less--instead of warming it up with my finger, I warm it up by smooshing my lips together. And I use TTT lip liner to define the edges. HTH ladies!

Thank you, @liba!

@geeko

You're very welcome! I think the key is applying it to the underside of the top lip to avoid the patchiness of the bottom lip (hope that made sense).

Let us know how it works for you!!
