I'd like to know that too and I really hope they aren't some tiny sample sized lipstick, it'd be kind of a slap in the face if it was considering the price they're going for. I'm going to hold out for a bit more info me thinks.

Me too! As much as I want to splurge just for that theme song LOL, I dont need a sample sized lippie at $32. I really hope they are only slightly smaller compared to the perm ones and not really "mini" mini!!

She and Karen from MBB usually do get samples from Tom Ford, so I'm hopeful. I'm kind of terrified by the number of these that I want.

I figured I'd pull this from the WWD article, since it seems like it's probably important information:

Thirty-six offerings are new shades; 10 are from Velvet Suede, Ford’s current seasonal color story, and four are from previous seasons. Ford predicted bestsellers will include Tomas, a coral hue; Matthew, a coral pink; Flynn, a light pink; Giacomo, a deep rose, and Patrick, a muted coral pink. Each clutch-size lipstick will retail for $32. The lipsticks can also be packaged in sets of any three hues in the collection.

Thanks so much, TF, for offering existing shades with new names and not telling us which ones they are!!!!! I do like the idea of being able to get a set of three- hopefully there's a slight price reduction for buying this way.

I'm certain that there will be no price reduction. Even when Tom Ford offered his entire brush collection in a beautiful brush case, the price was exactly the same . The same is if you purchase beach brush individually. The advantage was that you got the brush case . Unfortunately, he did not sell the case by itself and it was limited-edition. He did the same thing when he offered lipsticks and nail polishes in cases. You received the same price if purchased individually, but the advantage was the box that it came in. Now I could be mistaken, I frequently am, and have no shame in admitting that.Lol

I keep looking at them and making a mental note of the ones I want and it's at about 15 right now.

I'm going to try and narrow it down to about 3 and agree with you on the hope of there being a bit of a price break if you buy the set of 3. I can't wait for swatches and reviews to surface so I can narrow my list down a bit.

Actually, I suspect you're right. I have noticed that TF prices are pretty much carved in stone. It was more wishful thinking on my part. I'm trying to play a game of "if I le myself have one set". m not sure who's winning, but my bank account is losing.

When I was told about this from an SA, he said you get a pouch if you buy a set of 3. It's unlikely there's a discount, but like other sets, you get the special packaging I guess. I really want to know which ones are the old shades. And what is the Velvet Suede color collection??

Oh, I see now on the TF website page for the collection, that they are 2.0g/.07oz, so bigger than the GWP minis (.03oz).
This makes them cheaper per oz than the full size lippies ($50/.1oz)!!!!

now to figure out which 14 are the oldies.......the matte collection has to be the velvet suede? i can't think of what else it would be, no way the summer sheers........



i think i see flamingo/aphrodisiac, violet fatale, bruised plum, casablanca

and one color William looks just like fire lust and the other colors in metallics look just like his nail polishes + kind of like solar gold/moonlight - (have all the LE NP's but shameless (if anyone see's it please let me know! i totally forgot last christmas!)


but the bigger problem is the horrendous TF.com website, ugh! they are the worst!! i hope BG does it online as well but i doubt it! ugh

i need 36, can i start a paper route or something? down from $1600 to $1260, i may need to take an insurance policy out on these lippies!

oh gosh i was calculating at $35 so it's $32, ahhhhhh

spoke to TF.com and she said they will come in a box set of 3 not a pouch and that she had no clue what the velvet suede collection was but none of the 50 lippies are mattes - i asked for the repromote names and she had no clue........

My TF matte lipstick presents are from my in laws SIL and MOM and they are in Cancun right now, I'll get it by thanksgiving. I'm itching to buy and try Black Dahlia right now. What will you be getting from this collection? I've seen a set of 4 mattes for $200 too.

What a great gift!!! The sets are pretty nice, and BD is great fall lippie.

Interesting---well we know Bruised Plum and Flamingo would be repromotes---I have both. I not excited yet---I must be ill.
