Haha, this is funny!why did I just go to google and type dragon balls instead of meteorites. LOL
Can you sell them to someone in CB? Are you talking about the blanc meteroirtes? I did notice the powder and glitter. I'm sorry you don't like them.I just received both Terra Ora and the white pearls. I absolutely LOATHE the pearls. My package is about 1/3 powder (it's not the USPS - they were well packaged and it's pretty clear to me they were already like that) and they're way too glittery for me.
I think I'm going to bin them. Seriously. Or maybe my 12 year old would like them, although it seems obscene to give Guerlain to a child. Regardless, I don't like them at all and will never wear them. My first Guerlain pearl fail.I should have listened to my first instincts; whenever I buy simply because others love a product it turns out to be a mistake. I don't like glitter at all, and these just are nowhere near as subtle as the others I have. It might be because they're so powdery, but in the end it doesn't matter. They're not for me.
Glad the rest of you are loving them though.
Update: I just flushed all the loose powder down the toilet and blew the rest of the dust off the remaining pearls. It looks like someone was trying to dodge a coke bust in my ensuite.
Even after I got rid of the powder, I still don't like them. They are glittery. Fine glitter, to be sure. But glitter.
A quick swatch of Terra Ora reveals that it's shimmery. Not glittery at all, but it does leave a sheen. It's definitely a summer shade, and would be nice for highlighting shoulders/decollete as well. I will use it lightly with a matte blush (similar to what I do with Bobbi Brown Antigua).
i know exactly what you mean. i can not stand glitter particles on my face so i havent touched the white balls after i tried them on. these were my first balls and its put me off getting the holiday balls in case i have the same glitter experience with them.I just received both Terra Ora and the white pearls. Yes, Perles de Blanc. They're very different from the other three sets I have and love. I was expecting more of a NARS Illuminating Powder experience; these don't give me the airbrushed look that my loose NARS powder does and I can't add more because even a light application leaves too much glitter for me.Can you sell them to someone in CB? I don't have glitter on my face when I use the holiday balls and I've used them pretty much everyday for about a month now. Mine were wrapped in at least five or six layers of bubble paper and then carefully placed into a sturdy box. The Guerlain box looked flawless. I don't think it was shipping; I bet they left Singapore this way. I'm not in any way suggesting that it's the vendor's fault, because everything else I've received from her has been pristine. The holiday pearls are nothing like the white ones; I wear either the medium or holiday pearls every day and don't see any glitter.
Many others love them; I've wasted more money than this in the past and I will again. Oh well.I don't have glitter on my face when I use the holiday balls and I've used them pretty much everyday for about a month now. I'm sorry you don't like the white balls.

Well that really stinks about them being dust from the get go. :sigh: I'm sorry you don't like them, it's always such a let down when you get something and feel like you wasted money on it. I hope you're able to find someone who does love them so you're not stuck with them. The holiday pearls are nothing like the white ones; I wear either the medium or holiday pearls every day and don't see any glitter. I disliked them so much I washed my face after both applications.
I quite like mine too!! It is definitely shimmery in the swatch but it buffs pretty welll with a fluffy brush and I do not see any obvious shimmers! Infact I am using it today!I feel bad that you guys found yours to be so glittery. Mine are not at all on my face& really gives me a flawless appearance. I don't get it. Mine did not come powdery at all, like almost no powder. Maybe they are different manufacturing lots?
Nothing to feel bad about - it's not your fault I don't like them. I do wonder if there are batch issues - I can't imagine anyone not finding the ones I have to be glittery. Oh NO. Smashed balls are unacceptable! That's just wrong. Was the outside of the packaging visibly damaged?I swear, half of my Angel balls arrived smashed! It's half balls, half powder. And very glittery.
I firmly blame USPS.
Mine emitted a huge puff of powder when first opened but were fine there after.I definitely had powder on the bottom of mine. I did't think it was the vendors fault, but I did wonder if it was b/c they might have been shaken during the shipping process. I was disappointed b/c there already aren't a lot of balls in the tin, BUT I didn't blame the shipper. Just thought it was one of those things.
That's good. Glad you're enjoying both. One set from USA the other from Singapore
